Old Virtua Fighter 4 Wallpapers

Hello i'm back with more VF Wallpapers this time stuff from Virtua Fighter 4.

1. Here we have the Select Screen Wallpapers from ''sega-am2.co.jp'' after a bit of searching i was able to find them in their original quality and converted them to png.


2. Here we have the Red wallpapers from "virtua-fighter-4.com" aka the US site for VF4, the original wallpapers already have compression but i edited a little bit to get rid of the compression artifacts and made them PNG:


3. These are Wallpapers of stage renders, i don't know from where these came from but i got all of them except the Akira stage one thanks to Sudden Death:


4. All 36 wallpapers from the ''Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution The Official Website : ARCADE'' (i know Onedia uploaded these a long time ago but some of those had extra compression) i downloaded these directly from the web archive backup of the old page to get them in their original quality:



4. I also found some VF4Evo wallpapers which i also have no idea from they originated.

I did not make an imgur post for these since they aren't in good quality and some editing isn't going to fix them either, i would really appreciate if someone told me from where these originated from or gave me a link to download them in their original quality, well that's it for now hopefully someone can help with this.

Best VF game.
Perhaps the best 3D fighter ever released ?

 

I'd say the most refined VF game is VF4 Final Tuned (although VF3tb is my favorite) either way i wish VF4FT got a pc with all of its features intact + online. It's crazy how despite being considered the best entry in the series it never got a home port, to me that has to be the VF that needs a port the most (Especially since all the card/online features are literally lost media now since VF.Net closed even if you got the original arcade machine you can't experience VF4FT to the fullest)

 

I actually wasn't even aware Final Tuned existed until after VF5 R was released in the arcade when people wanted to wait for the next update before demanding Sega to port to home.

I wonder what it added to VF4E ?

 

Oh boi VF4FT added some cool stuff besides the great balancing tweaks and new moves which greatly improved the game.

This is not great deal but FT has some new voice clips for all characters.

VF4FT added a new single player mode "challenge mode" in which you go through an outrun like map completing mission of different difficulty based on route you choose, there's a mission with moon gravity in there!

New cool items which didn't make it into VF5 like Sonic the Fighter plushies for your characters.

New emblems some of which also did not make it into VF5.

The ability to choose some moves from older VF games like Akira's old knee or Lau's 62K from VF2!

New ranks and a new set of ranks which describe the playstyle of each player.

Improved A.I which adjust its difficulty to your rank level.

FT also added more online features but i don't much about that.

 

Sounds like a continuation of VF4E wild single.player stuff.

There are a lot of things that VF introduced to the genre.
3D plane and graphics was VF
Ring out was VF
Tekken Customization was actually VF
Crazy fight modifiable that started to happen in MK9- after actually first happened in VF4E.

I actually played the game yesterday through an emu, it still looks and plays well.

Holy crap! I looked at all of the pics you posted here, even the slide show ones. That's quite some treasure hunting dude. I didn't even know alot of these existed, until you posted them. Nice work.
