1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. However, you can expect some VF5US specific changes to come soon!

L A Akira is helping me find some hot spots is Tokyo for Arcades and for Entertainment.

but I can always use even more advice.

Anyone have some nice restaurants or not to miss attractions?
Since I will most likely use Wolf... does anyone have any strategy tips for him on VF5R?

and finally does anyone want to meet up while I am there. I will be staying at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel from the 17th to the 25th (plans on 19th and 21st). I will be open to meet somewhere else as well.

Side note... Japan travel is really cheap right now $450 from Los Angeles to Japan Round Trip

I'm actually in Tokyo from the 17th until the 19th, so I can meet up. Send me a PM with your details and I'll try to meet up. I'm planning on going to Club Sega Shinjuku on the afternoon of the 18th.

Brisal, maybe you could try out that low punch cut/change 100pt backthrow thing while you're there. Have you seen that vid? A lot of Wolf players are curious if its guaranteed or not.

I'm curious as to how many matches you'll be able to win there honestly. Gonna have reno keep a tally. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Unfortunately I won't be able to go to Tokyo this weekend... after looking at my finances it's probably best that I save up the money I have as I'm traveling to Toronto on the 24th. Sorry for not coming, but I'm sure you'll have a swell time in Club Sega Shinjuku. :p

VF is alive and kickin at Sega Shinjuku Nishiguchi! I had a chance to witness some awesome matches! A player who resembles Mask, an el blaze player, had some tight matches with a strong Wolf player!
The atmosphere, the noise and not mention the cigarette smokes all fit to the scene. I did not dare to challenge.

For anybody who don't know who Pexi is, he is a finnish player with vietnamese heritage. He is quite tall, but looks asian. I dont have any pics to provide though. My personal nemesis since VF3. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif Stopped playing in VF5, nice to see youre still interested, Pexi.

    So you're leaving 25th - Saturday - right ?

Will you be able to play on 24th ?

We could play from about 4PM in Shinjuku or Akiba (is there any 50yen VF5R arcade in Tokyo ?)

You didn't put this topic in Arcade section and I do not read general part of the forum too often hence so late reaction, please replay if you will be able to play on 24th.

Do you know how to record fights via VFnet ? Take your friend with you so that he could record fights with camera /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

In term of gameplay - one can now escape throws by keeping G+P and only inputting directions? or keeping G and inputting directions+P ? if latter than I rather prefer old method (used to it)

Reno will you be back in Osaka for golden week ? Probably not?:/

What type of hotspots are you looking for? I think I might be able to guide you in the right direction.

Brisal I do not know if you already have a guide around Tokyo or not but, just buy 1day ticket for Yamanote sen and go from one station to another.
Its already 5PM in there so my post is little bit pointless /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif but - go to Shibuya around 10PM - millions of people /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif but you already have it in NYC so probably nothing new for you.
Don't forget to get to top view point in ROPPONGI HILLS - I would advise doing that also around 11PM and Tokyo tower the next day to see it all in day light.
Unfortunately I can't help you with clubs or restaurants in Tokyo - I will seek such a information for myself too
    - L_A any tips in that subject ? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif
