Online Ranking Battle Tournaments

The Rules
What system will it be on?
We have 3 different Rank Battles. Xbox 360, PS3, and both
How do I gain points and what are they good for?
50points from last to first place will be awarded to each player. The further you get in the tournament the more points you will receive.
The top 12 players in relation to points will then be invited to the Final Tournament on the 29th. Where the money and prizes will be given out to the Top 3 finishers
Is there a fee?
The fee is $5 per system. For example if you want to enter the Xbox 360, the PS3, and the PS3/Xbox rank battle tourney it would cost $15 (You do not have to pay for each tournament).
What will the Top 3 finishers receive?
3rd place 10% of the pot
2nd place 20% of the pot
1st place 70% of the pot Plus a prize to be named later
How will points be distributed?
1st 400pts
2nd 350pts
3rd 300pts
4th 250pts
5th 200pts
7th 150pts
7th 150pts
9th 100pts
10th or more 50pts

Will this be streamed?
Yes all tourneys will be streamed on twitch.tv/vfsocal
Do I need to actually be there for each tourney?
No, but remember points are critical in order to make it into the Final Tournament on July 29th
Can play if I am not living in the United States?
This event is being planned for the U.S. market and remember this is an online event, meaning you should have a connection of at least 2 to 3 bars to participate

Can you make the event time earlier so us east coast players can not be at bed time when the real fighting start? Staring an even at 10pm is kinda ruff dude. 7pm or 8pm est is bearable though. 7pm is gdlk.

Tricky, you have to remember west coast and central. If we do it 7pm EST that would be to early for the others

Plus I figure the night time is when most people play games anyways. Which is good for the east coast

Love the idea Brisal! But like Tricky said, 10pm start time for us is ROUGH, on a Sunday no less. These things can take a while, your looking at the east coast being up until midnight, or past it.

I'd be happy to participate otherwise, but I gotta get up at 5:30am for work, stupid job

Edit: Not trying to get you to change anything or deflate your project, keep doin cool shit like this It really is next to impossible to have a start time that works for both coasts.

 

I hear your thought process, but this late is past the time of good time to play for the east coast. Folks who have things to do in the morning on Monday are just not going to be able to do this. No problem though man, we'll just have to do something like this on the east coast. I'm just bummed I can't participate because of the time it's starting is all.

I get two bars with most US players i've seen, can I get in on this? It would be about 3am for me so you guys will get free wins

 

10pm EST is gonna be pushing it for me, especially on Sunday nights. i work at 8am Monday to Friday so i don't think i can participate...

i hope this is a success, though, since it could lead to more tournaments like this being set up.

 

I'll be in Nicaragua during the first one, but I'd enjoy participating in the second and/or subsequent ones, if that's all well and good. XBox of course.

 

Would you have to participate in all the stages of this tournament? I'm going to be in Europe for at least two weeks next month and would miss a few of these.

 

So what time would work for WC, Central, and EC. Or maybe another
day?

You can participate in one if you like, but remember in order to qualify for the Final Tournament you need to be in the top 12

 

Timing is too bad for me. I work at about 10 PM EST at my overnight job and I work every Sunday night too oh well.

 

i'd be more open to Saturdays any time here on the EC. i'd be open to Sundays at that original time though if it weren't for work.

 

I figure Saturdays are tough due to people having plans. On Sundays most people go out but rest at night before Monday
