    My Buddies,

I've be meeting up Kyasao in Osaka. He's taking a few days off from work to meet and introduce Fumi(Shen Long) to us. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif

    Wish me best of luck!

The first day(Sunday) we got here, Masa manage to contact Kyasao to ask him where's the most popular arcade. Kyasao is unable to take leave to see us as this was Japan's 'Golden Week' with 4 public holidays so he has to stay at manage his arcade during this peak period. He recommended visiting 'Monte50' which is having this 50 yen promotion. Apparently, Fumi and all the top players hang out there.

Monte50 has 4 pairs of versus city machine which is kinda little. The Vf scene is either dying or maybe its a Sunday as it gave me de ja vu when I was in Tokyo to play FT March 06. The low rank players were ALL top players starting new cards so every ranking match I had really pushed my skills to the limit. Its seems to take me forever to get pass 2nd dan. We also met Reno who recorded a couple of our matches.

Fumi played several characters and were all high ranks. His Aileen was the most impressive and was ranked Tousen. It seems that all top Aileen players abuse PP6P excessively.

By my 3rd day, my Akira began to hover at 10dan to kaiden. Getting Kaiden is as easy as losing it. How the hell do you defend yourself against 5 x 10dans who are probably top players leveling their alt?

Another VF culture I noticed in Osaka, top players rank up each other almost all the time. Watching the 'Exciting Battle Hour!' can make me laugh as 50% of the time, your watching some player hopping out of the ring. No wonder I could beat some of these Tousen ranks consistently.

I've also come to realized why kage is 's' class in 5. When you are desperate
Just do TFT -> 6+k+g -> small pounce. 80 pts at least. Its very demoralizing for new players to eat it as it's harder for them techroll from TFT. Even intermediate/advance players suffer from it time to time if they are not alert.

A 9th Blaze became friendly with me. He plays the most flashy and effective Blaze so far. Half the time I don't even know why I got hit or thrown. He said that he didn't know there were strong players from far away in SG. I replied that we only have ps3 and there's only a few of us serious in the game.

Saturday at Namba was packed. Queues for tako yaki(octopus balls) were so long. I never knew tako yaki were so popular compared to those in Singapore. We checked out the electronics shops in the area. 2nd hand PS3 games were really cheap so I bought a couple of big titles.

We checked out the Club Sega in that area and found some of 5-8dan players gathered. I took the opportunity to rank up my kage and pai. Although it's 100yen/game, they were 'real' 5-8dans. There was a strong Jeffrey there too. He was 3 ranks above 10 dans.

Sunday was raining the whole day. Every arcade was empty except Monte50. I went shopping at Muji instead. Reno was suppose to be back today but I didn't see him. Its a nice feeling to meet someone from VFDC. Jerky, stompoutloud, GhostDog, Shou, dave, Myke, Kazu, Adam, nin, RyanHart etc..etc.. I doubt i'll ever get a chance to meet so many people from VFDC in one gathering.

I took my video of my ranking match against a Kaiden Jeffrey. It was randomly played during the 'Exciting Battle Hour!' on the VFTV.

Hey Danny, it was good meeting ya at Monte! Yeah, i came back last Sunday but it was already 10pm and I had to sleep to get up for work the next day. I went to Monte again on Tuesday and Thursday but I didn't see you around... I guess you went to other arcades?

Either way, good matches! You totally kicked my butt!

Oh Reno, you are working in Japan??! You are gonna get soOoo strong the next time I see you.

I went around eating all the delicious food most of the time before heading to the arcade.

Like I said before, you have so many characters! I already have a hard time concentrating on 1.

I realized you need to register on VFnet to be able to save your matches. I waited around for awhile at the VFTV for my other matches to show but it didn't.

So you have been playing against Kyasao ? That's cool /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif I envy you .. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif Did you have to plan it a lot earlier - I mean inform and ask Kyasao about it ? Is there any place (on the net) where one can find for example addresses or names of arcades with famous players ?
And about that Kage combo - it is only TFT->6K+G ? what do you mean by light pounce ? it means that one should do 6K+G just before other character hits ground ?
I already wonder if that combo works in version C.

Re: Osaka with Kyasao & Fumi: 29th April - 12th Ma

Yeah, we emailed Kyasao a week beforehand to tell him we are coming. I dunno about finding on the net about arcades with famous players. It was Kyasao who told us to head to Monte50 if we want competition. Hey! You can always post at this wedsite if you want to know where are all the famous arcades in Japan.

The Kage combo is mainly aimed at players who cannot techroll properly from TFT. The 6+K+G is done immediately after the opponent slams on the ground(failed to techroll) for huge damage.
