Otakon anyone?

Anyone going to Otakon this year? Last year was fun, they had a hot 64 person VF4 tournament... Dunno if they are going to have an Evo one this year, but the game room in general was off the charts last year... Worth the price of admission by itself, let alone all the anime stuff they had...

I really wanted to go, but between garage bills and vet bills I am now broke. /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif Only con I'm going to this year is MACE here in NC.

 

As long as I can work this out with school and work, I am definatly going to try and go...what days are the VF people gunna show up, cause I will come for that.

 

wait a second there's something actually going on in MA!? and wait a second there's a baltimore ,MA? LOL must be out in the middle of nowhere. why on that link does it not say anywhere where this thing will be? it just gives dates like you should already know.

About a month ago now I cut my hair as well. I think mom measured it when I gave he my ponytail and it was 21". I keep reaching for an invisible ponytail sometimes. /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

 

heres what my hair was like a few years ago... actually this was right after i cut the sides off, so theres a bunch missing:

then i buzzed it all off, let it grow a while, and i looked like the 3rd golden twin last year at otakon... a bit like this:

this winter, i broke my arm, so long hair became difficult to take care of.. so off it went:

its very strange, having super long hair for 10 years and then suddenly buzzing it down to the scalp. i highly reccomend it. =]

... and the VF4 tournament is in less than 4 hours, so off i go to otakon!

i snapped a load of pictures at otakon... including 1 of supergolden playing VF4. =]

once again, he won the tournament, and once again, i was eliminated by him.

the tournament situation was pretty weak, but we got lots of good play in otherwise... i had fun. anyway.. heres the pix:

Nice pictures! Yeah the tournament was a pretty big letdown from last time /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif ... Most of the people were just plain out button mashers who had no interest in the game, although there were a handful of people who knew what they were doing...

It was good to see you there III_Demon, we had a close match in the tournament too and good free play matches too...

Hopefully next year Otakon will have its act together and not limit the number of people who enter the tournament, and actually have more than one copy of Evo!
