    has anyone ever heard of this guy kudokun?

    he uses goh and lost only to chibita. sounds like i could learn a lot by watching his matches...

    I don't know if just anyone can sign up for this tournament, but I found the participants veeery interesting:

    # Players: Character
    8: Jacky
    7: Lion, Aoi
    5: Pai, Lei Fei
    4: Wolf, Jeffry, Vanessa, Akira
    3: Sarah, Lau, Brad
    2: Kage, Shun

    The number of players that jumped out at me are in the 4 category. I didn't expect so many Jeffry and Vanessa players, and so few Akira players.

    And only 2 Kage players? That's a big reversal from Evo.


    Finals: 2 Lions

    Semifinals: 2 Lions, 1 Lei Fei, 1 Goh

    Elite Eight: 2 Lions, 1 Lei Fei, 1 Goh, 1 Aoi, 1 Jacky, 1 Vanessa, 1 Pai

    Aside from the Lions (and one of them is Chibita), that's an amazing diversity.

    are you sure you counted it right? I think there are two Shun's in the final eight, SHU and Itabashi Zangief

    As pleasantly diverse the last one was, this round is considerably spiky.

    10: Jacky
    7: Lau, Kage
    6: Sarah
    5: Wolf, Lei Fei
    3: Shun, Lion, Vanessa
    2: Jeffry, Brad
    1: Aoi, Pai
    0: Goh

    Reported deaths of Kage may be premature, and what's up with Goh?

    Edit: I just realized I forgot to include Goh in the first tournament. He should be there with Akira, Wolf, Jeffry, and Vanessa with 4 representatives.
