Other good arcade games that are out there.

what are your picks, but give a reason as well. What are some arcade games that some arcades SHOULD have.

 

Every arcade should have Planet Harriers and CvS2.

 

VF4 and the old X-Men sidescroller come immediately to mind...

 

that cowboy game... can't even remember the name...
and Captain America and the Avengers... loved that game
TMNT the arcade game was classic too

 

Sunset Riders?

 

besides VF4, i like TTT, CVS2, and MVC2 when it comes to other fighting games.

non-fighting games, crazy taxi series, time crisis 2, die hard arcade(one of the best "sidescrollers" ever), and capcom's aliens vs predator(sidescroller with a gun; interesting take)
if you like puzzle games, i think puzzle fighter series are pretty good and interesting. bust-a-move, ddr, and the one that started it all; pac-man /versus/images/icons/wink.gif

i'm sure there's others; they just haven't come to mind

 

Sunset Riders, that's the one. Loved that game. Kinda stupid now that i think about it though. Ah well, games always hold up well in our memories...

 

Sunset Riders was great, imo. Great memories. Metal Slug really reminds me of that game, but quite advanced in comparison.

Well...apart from VF4

nothing else in my arcade holds my attention more than 5 mins

except for 3S.

with work...school..social committments...VF4 alone is enough.

Actually..if I was any smarter...I should heed the advice of my accountant n quit VFing...she keeps complaining I am not using my time wisely. hehe

 

Other than VF4, the only games I need in the arcade are SpikeOut and D&D Shadow over Mystara. I can easily waste 2 hours on each game with only one credit. /versus/images/icons/smile.gif

 

CvS2, Martial Masters, Virtual On, Mario Bros., DDR, and ParaPara Paradise.
