Overall Online Usage

There's a couple threads for how much a particular character is used, but I'd like to see how much everyone sees each character from their personal experiences separated into three categories: A Lot, Moderate Amount, and A Little (sorry for the simplicity of the names, just thought it would work best). Here's mine:

A Lot: Akira, Goh, Jean

Moderate Amount: Pai, Sarah, El Blaze, Brad, Eileen, Taka Arashi, Vanessa, Jacky, Wolf, Shun-Di

A Little: Lion, Jeffry, Aoi, Lau, Kage, Lei-Fei

These are in no particular order on each category mind you.

 

In player matches.

Most : Jacky, Goh, Sarah, Jean, Lion.

Else : Everyone else.

 

I am one of the countless Goh scrubs. I see a lot of Jacky and Kage players.

 

Main: Lau
Secondary Jacky and Akira
Want to get into playing Jeffry and Jean later on.

moderate: Shun, Akira, Lion, Kage, Vanessa
low: everyone else

few: Taka, blaze, Aoi, Goh, Jean, eileen, goh.

Most: Jacky, Sarah, Jean

Often: Taka, Pai, Kage, Brad, Goh, Eileen, Vanessa, Wolf

Less often: Lei, Lau, Blaze, Jeff, Akira

Rare: Lion

 

I think it depends on your rank. When I was lower rank I've encountered an army of jacky and pai, like 3 matches out of four were jacky or pai. Now I am 10th dan and almost each match is a different character. Anyway:

Most: Jacky, Pai, Lau, Sarah
Often: Brad, Goh, Eileen, Shun, Vanessa, Kage
Less: Lei fei, Akira, Jean, Aoi, Lion
rare: Wolf, Taka, Jeffrey, El Blaze

I am on psn

 

Most: Jean, Pai, Wolf
Often: Jacky, Eileen, Vanessa
Less: Everybody else, except for:
Least: Shun, Taka

 

Frequent: Brad, Jacky, Lau

Often: Lei Fei, Vanessa, Akira

then everyone else

 

With a little over 400 ranked fights now, its weird, it depends on whether I have same-area or world wide selected. If I choose same area (I'm in the U.S.)

then its a three way tie, Jacky, Sarah, Eileen the most with
Lau a dead last. If its world wide:

Akira,Wolf,Jean, Jeffrey about equally, and Lei Fei, dead last.

But then again I wait until I'm picked, maybe there is something about why some one chooses me for a match.

 

I faced lots of Jeffrys in ranked the first few days but the growth of the rasta army seems to have stagnated. Right now I feel there's a good balance of:
Jean
Pai
Sarah
Brad
Jacky
Akira
Vanessa and
Goh

Jeffry, Wolf, Lion and Taka comes after and the rest at the bottom. In my experience ofc.
