Indeed, forty of your english pounds in most retailers good sir.

How's the search for comp going? Me and a buddy have been playing the classic vf4 cabinet in royals semi regularly on wedensday afternoons and haven't even seen anyone else touching it.

Have been in Royals almost every Sunday with my gf - she's addicted to dance dance revolution. Yep, the poor old VF4 cabinet is always left alone collecting dust.

Yeah until lately (after much bitching) it was barely accepting cash. I'm hardly ever there at the weekends, what time of day are you normally there?

If you ever see a short dude at the machine with really long brown hair feel free to come over and challenge.

I've been playing Goh for a little while now at home so my vf4 classic skills are pretty rusty

We're normally in Royals mid or late afternoon on Sunday, and sometimes Saturday too. I usually play 18-wheeler or vf4 while gf plays ddr Euromix. I've been known to have a go of ddr myself on occasion!!

Don't think I'll be playing too much VF4 when Evo arrives. I'm pumped up for this release like no other. Just ordered myself an official Hori stick from play-asia.com to mark the event!!

This is just a suggestion but wouldnt it of made more sense to mark the ocassion with the offcial VF4 arcade stick.

Yeah it's really hard to go back to vf4 after evo, it's pretty much inferior in every way.

I've not had evo around for the past two weeks and I've played vf3 more than vf4.

The evo hori sticks are nice, a little loose but nice, what were you using before that?

It would be nice to get an evo cabinet in royals.

It would be nice to win the lottery, that's probably more likely.

As I understand it the Hori Evo sticks are the official ones. When I said "official Hori stick" I was refering to their Evo stick.

Hey it would be nice if people in Liverpool or Manchester would fit in some arcade machines too.I myself have been waiting for evo for longer than I can remember and the cheeky little demo disc the other month only made me more desparate for it.Strange that it is full price oh and I'm not being funy here but I chose to mark the occasion by importing myself a hori stick...yes archangel a SC2 stick!Well it is out the end of the summer and I want to give it a go.The problem with the official vf evo sticks is you can't use em with a lot of other fighting games if any.Ah well I'll be sure to post something when I get my copy. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I got the Pal version yesterday 17th.. two words finally and amazing..

Im using as joystick also the offical Hori VF4 evo version..I like that one much, the button set up is perfect got no problem with it being slightly loose.

As for that VF4evo is full price I think i has somehing to do that Atari is now the publisher and not SCEE anymore.
I think in America the title is published by Sony themselves..and they made it platinum price..or how do they call it over there...its what my console shop told me anyways.

Some lucky folk getting Evo early it seems. Looks like I'll have to wait for Friday before I get mine. But on a positive note I finally got my Hori Evo stick, and it's fantastic. Don't have a problem with the loose feel of the stick, as it's much more responsive and comfortable to use than my old ASCII piece. Button placement is perfection and the stick motion is smooth as silk. Overall, I'm really pleased, despite customs slapping an extra £10 on import tax.

customs also annoyed me with that..i had to pay 20 euro's extra /versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif...still worth all the the hassle though.. I guess is because of the stick its weight.

Is it true that Pal version is censored? So Brad with blue jacket with flower instead of red jacket and Vanessa with no P1 costume?

It had something to do with the 2 different versions for Asia and the West.
The Pal ver (and US probably too) is based on the Western version, where they changed some of the costumes.
Since i already got the Japanese import, i don't mind some differences.
And at least i can read the Quests, Trials etc.

Not sure if you know this but you can actually claim back around half the import duty after you've collected your parcel. There's an extra "Brokarage Surcharge", usually around £10, that gets added to the import VAT. Just call the parcel company, say UPS, and they'll send you a cheque in the post.

I originally got charged £19 when I picked up my Hori stick a few days ago, and only £9 of that was import duty (calculated from a value of $70). UPS are now sending me back the £10 brockarage charge.
