Format?
Standard Double Elimination Format.
The grand finals will be best 3 out of 5. All other matches will be best 2 out of 3 games.

Just letting everyone know that so far we have a lot of confirms from both local and out-of-town players for Best Bout Beatdown!

Really looking forward to this Saturday, it's going to be an awesome time!

 

It'd be awesome to hit 50 confirms, and they're almost there. Looks like it's gonna be huge.

 

***UPDATE***
The Final Showdown tournament will be played on X-Box 360. This decision was made after factoring in that every other tournament was being played on 360 and most players will naturally bring 360 controllers/sticks.

It also turns out that when combining Oregon and Washington players who plan to attend, the majority are 360 owners.

 

Well isn't that great that this is the one I miss. Oh well, good luck to everyone who comes down and plays!

 

I know... I really wish it could have worked out for you, though moving the tournament to the 23rd helped a lot of people out.

That said, the training doesn't end and you know that I'll make myself available to help train you (or really, to enjoy the fun matches I'm always having with you)!

BTW, really looking forward to Best Bout Beatdown tomorrow!

 

I had an awesome time at the tournament yesterday and we had a very good field, even though quite a few people who intended to go couldn't make it.

A lot of the matches were quite intense throughout the whole bracket as competitors dealt with a lot of unknowns and everyone was fighting tournament nerves (including me, I really had to fight nerves, but I can't complain because I didn't drop a game). Final Showdown's a new game, so high levels of tournament nerves is very much expected (at least to me).

there were a lot of great back and forth matches and I might write a report about them ^_^
