Possible EVO tournament in Miami, Florida... interested?

I'm seriously considering running a tournament here, but first i'd like to find if there are people around the area that would participate. Small entry fee is likely, but so would be cash prizes for the winners. What do you think?

 

or how about just a free tournament where you can meet other people that play Virtua Fighter? Come on, there have to be some people in or near south Florida that play VF!!! /versus/images/graemlins/deadpan.gif

 

I tried so hard to find south florida vf players over the years. None really ever came out, nor were serious. I wish Miami, Tampa, and Orlando actually had that light rail system. I would be down there in a heartbeat.

 

I belong to a (very) small group that plays here, if you ever find yourself in the area, let me know! I'd be glad if you could join us for a while!

So far the response I'm getting is a lot more dead than I imagined. I think I may try some other sites to get this moving.

I am interested,but I am only in South Beach for the next few days working on a project

Scion is doing a promotion in South Beach that includes Halo2 players tsquared and company. At the last minute,with my insistance, there is a VF setup too.
The miami crew has showed up and is rockin'.

Glad you could make it over, hopefully we'll see you more often /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif the more people we have the better all of us will get, so by all means keep coming! I wish I could have stayed for SCIII, but maybe we'll do it this week /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

As far as the tournament goes, there may be one in the weekend of August 12-13, but I still have some people I need to talk to so it's not official yet. I'll have an update soon!

 

I had tons of fun with last few VF players that have come down here to Miami. It is good to see new competition.

So far, I've suggested that it should be on Sunday that weekend. We don't know what time though. Also, I hope that my dual sticks will be ready by then.
