Pro Evolution Soccer 3

Probably more aimed at the UK players at this site (think its WE7 to those playing the jap import) but do any of you have this fantastic game yet? I now WackyJacky does and surely Nakura will be getting it soon too (I was expecting you to have done at least three seasons by now). IMHO (over the few days I've had a copy) the new mechanics of the game and options are brilliant. Haven't managed to pull off too many skills yet the the inclusion of using the R3 stick for such skills is a welcome inclusion as is the ability of in game replays.

I unlocked a crazy mode last night that adds a streak of rainbow after the ball trail when you watch in replays and theres plenty more to unlock by winning PES money and using it in the PES shop. Free kicks seem slightly modified to me but overall the same game has been retained and thank heavens they simply haven't done the old FIFA trick of including every league in the world and then a new "gimmick" feature. Anyone else any ideas/ feelings as to this game?

 

I don't have it just yet as I combined my order on amazon with Viewtiful Joe (and now wish I hadn't). My new Dreamcast is keeping me occupied though /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

And I am planning to have at least 5 seasons done at the weekend! I don't do any work anyway....

Quality game, can't wait to get it...

I got WE7 back in August, from what I've heard it's pretty much the same. One of my criticisms would be that sometimes I find myself getting penalised for handball a lot which is bizarre.

Anyway, it took me a couple of days to fully get into it after WE6, but it's definitely an improvement.

 

I got Pes3 today and I'm amazed, I think it has a much better feel over part2-us European Pal's missed WE 6 Final Evolution so we kinda get 2 updates (incl no 7) at once. So I think the feel has very much changed over pes2 making the difference more significant from 2 to 3 than from 1to part2 which was more taking out the "errors" still left in the gameplay.

What can I say: this is really close to the real thing, I got plenty of mates who are great at soccer-got the basics myself-and they pick on to that game from the first time round. perfectly creating chances but only pressing the wrong button in front of the goal /versus/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
While I've seen guys who suck to death in real play sucking to death at the game /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif What can prove this games qualities better.

It wasn't enough that he made it to my favourite team-he also made it to my favourite game (but he'll be eating the bench anyway-doing that he even makes more money playing European one time than my me doing shitty jobs over 5 years /versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif)

Yes to be PES3is the closer a game will ever get to modelling football realistically...well till whenever the nexy one comes out at least. Recently unlocked some hyper fast mode (like hyper battle action in VF4 evo) some classic teams and some classic players using the PES shop....is Paul Ince really that classic?

Anyone mastered all the training stuff yet? I've done up to about 3 stars on some things but haven't really tried them that much.

I got the game from Raider, and I must say, it`s really is an exellent game. PESIII=The best soccer game out this days.

But I am not playing it much though. I am almost alone in my neighborhod.

 

I'm afraid I've comitted "game" suicide recently. Finally organised some VF action my my area and been meeting and playing with people...which means I have to try and practice hard to get better. Also got Sc2, Jak 2 and PES3 within about 2 weeks of one another as well as SSX tricky on the cheap and sonic collection for my GC. This is on top of trying to work hard at my degree and atm I just have no time at all to play the games I want.

PES3 just demands my time but I've hardly donw any of it. My Liverpool master league side (only 3 stars alas) is slowly getting there but I don't play nearly enough nor have a load of people to play it with whch is a shame. Hopefully I'll be able to play it more over the christmas hols.
