Problems with inputs

Does anyone have a problem with seeing the correct directional input for a move yet still it doesn't come out?
For example, Akira's new DLC input is:

Yet sometimes even when I see that I entered the correct input, the tetsuzanko doesn't come out. I've tried it at all different speeds, and even if it is slow, it will still come out... sometimes.

Help?

 

what are you using to play? I see you'r a psn player should i assume you play with a ps3 pad?

 

Nah man, I use a Mad Catz TE stick. Both can be used to do this move BTW, I've done it before on pad.

 

Nevermind, I found my solution. It seems that I was entering the command too quickly, and the inputs didn't register.

 

i'm glad you find the solution. I was actually surprised you couldn't do it either with a pad or a stick. If you were an xbox user that would be something common but a ps3 pad? that was new to me.
