I am wondering if you will have to pay to play online games on the PS2, like a monthly fee. Does someone here know?

I'm not clear on all of the games but I would figure some games might come with a pay per play tag..

It will be just like it was with the DC and every other online console. You put your ISP or Cable in and....when you play depending on what it is you pay. Usually every game is free except MMORPGs cuz they are hella expensive and they know the people who play them will put out the cash. <--

Can you use your existing ISP? I have roadrunner.

    Madden NFL 2003 and more...

    <a target="_blank" href=http://boards.ign.com/message.asp?topic=22406026>http://boards.ign.com/message.asp?topic=22406026</a>

For any of you Madden freaks like me, you'll dig this inside report from E3 here in LA, CA... <font color=white>"there were absolutely no lag issues or 'momentary freeze' issues that we’ve seen in the videos..."</font color=white> The correspondent was playing someone in Florida.

Can someone say FIFA 2002 Major League Soccer? LOL Yeah baby...

    Here's another interesting link:

Microsoft decided to make you use their own ISP so you'll have to pay monthly payments of $50. I think some gamers will be turned off by that idea.

    More from E3...

I agree, HighKing. I'm already turned off by that statement... Here's a linked list of other kewl games that are making the online boast at E3:

    Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4

This isn't going online but it's a neat media clip:

Hope the link works. If not, <a target="_blank" href=http://ps2.ign.com/articles/360/360077p1.html>GO HERE</a> and click on the Media Page link at the bottom of the article.

One more special: <a target="_blank" href=http://ps2.ign.com/articles/360/360481p1.html>E3 2002: The Hideo Kojima Interview</a>. He talks about MGS2: Substance, ZOE2, and online research.

It all looks so sweet and promising... for now...
