Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. Summary - The PSN group I made to find and organize matches for VF5US reached its max cap of 100 accounts. The group not only has been helpful for matchmaking, but also to pass VF information around. Now, I am trying to figure a good way to expand on it.

    The long version:

How should we expand the VF Groups?
Not satisfied with using the forums. twitter, discord, for matchmaking I started the PSN group based on suggestions from Pas and Domaug. It was originally called "VF Midwest Good Connection Group" because I lived in the Midwest and I added people to the list that I have a good connection with. The group has evolved since then with other members adding people into the group. The group has reached its max number of players and I want to figure the best way to expand on it. This means making more groups.

What does this mean for the original group? I will keep it running for what it has been used so far and has tentatively renamed it as "The Original VF Group." I will be moving some non-active members out of the group to allow members to add active players. If you have commented in the group, I won't be moving you out. If you do get moved out, you should get a message from me. If you do want to be in the group, I will put you back in...depending if we the group does not get hit 100 members again.

In the coming days or weeks, I will message everyone in the group for some information. I think I want to make additional groups based on region and skill level. The main purpose for these groups is for easier regional matchmaking and to foster a community.

Having multiple VF groups might be cumbersome, but I think with some adjustment to your message notification settings, it might work out well.

PS App and Adjusting Notification Settings
The main benefit for the PSN group is that you know VF5US players are using the PlayStation to play. There is also the PS App (available for Apple and Android devices) which have made the group function even more useful. I don't need to return to minimize the game screen to return to the home screen to read/reply.

Using the PS App - In the group's page at the upper left corner, select the "i" icon, then select "..." to find option to turn on and off notifications. I turn on notification during gaming session. Definitely turn off notifications during work or sleep though!

PlayStation Console Notification Settings - Especially if the system is shared with family and you don't want messages to pop onto your screen non-stop, there are plenty of options to adjust to fit how you used the group.

Turn off notification for specific groups - Select the specific party/group conversation and you can have that specific group notifications turned off (press the Option button). In the same selectin, you can also pin groups to the top of the list by choosing to make a group a Favorite.

You can also prevent the notifications from displaying the message (helpful if system is used by children and don't want some awkward message to show up. - https://manuals.playstation.net/document/gb/ps4/settings/notification.html

Inviting Players to PSN VF Groups
If you are in a group, you can add players into the group (you do not need to be the creator of the group). Before adding them to the group though, I would like people to ask the players first to get permission. It might make the group(s) grow slower, but people that actually wants to be in the group will likely be more active and not just fill up a space.

The One Rule for the PSN VF Groups
The only rule/guideline I would like everyone in the groups to follow: Treat the place like Switzerland, neutral ground. We might not necessarily get along 100% of the time, but we share a common hobby in Virtua Fighter (I hope). Be courteous, there are plenty of other venues for people to vent and what else.
