Just wondering if anyone was gonna buy this. Plus, do you think that this can compete with the Ipod, as it can play mp3 and video. Plus, Its finally good to be back, I havent been able to post for quite a long time and finally figured out why. Thanks for trying to help out Myke.

i'm waiting for it to get a good fighter title... i know it's got VampSav - an ok game, but not in the ranks of VF4 and CVS2.

What about shooters. I hear they have a Metal Gear for psp. Plus a bunch of other racing games; but I'm waiting to see if any good fighters will appear as well.

And as for it competing with ipod, I believe it will most likely succeed. The psp is already gaining word of mouth popularity around my area. My friends are already saving up to get it when it comes out. As for me though, I'm still undecided. I want to see more of it before I spend any money on it.

ok, may be an OK+. ha. yeah, hsien-ko was my main in that series. that's the best thing about that series imho- the originality of the chars (except for the shotoesque folks).

i think that series is pretty good... but the dial a combos, man, i hate those. and i don't think it's on par with the "core" SF series.... just imho.

I have Vampire Chronicle for the DC, and I think is a great game, but I dont think Im going to get it for the psp. Im really interested in the racing games that are coming, especially GT mobile

well it has the greatest ridge racer:)

shame it didnt have more then 1.5 tracks from each game:(

also u need to keep that battery in at all times if u want the clock to work!

the psp will win as u can rip films to the memory stick, but you will need to get a 256 stick!

About the battery life, Sony will eventually fix that problem, and I hope that the price of the memory sticks goes down quite abit, cause right now it cost about 150 for a 1 gig memory stick pro duo. Here a pic of the psp. [IMG] and another [IMG] FUNNY [IMG]

    lol at the last pic.

I don't think I'll be getting a PSP to be honest until I see some good games on there. Only one that catches my eye is Ridge Racers and Need for speed Underground rivals. Also heard the battery was bad, one of the buttons, I think the square button is off a bit which means u gotta press it harder or more to the right or some thing like that.

If I do get a PSP, I'll wait for some fixed batches. Right now, the DS catches my eye more.

there is nothing wrong with my psp (well my bros)

the box said it was made on jan 3rd, and the buttons are fine, the battry is okay when you consider that it runs faster then a ps2.

it depends on the game also.

when sony say its gonna be supported for 10 years u know they must of gotten summing right

apart from that analog stick on it! haha

what about those dead pixel issues that you keep on hearing about? does yours (your bros) have any?

I dont know about dead pixel issue's, but I hear that they might be using Samsungs LCD screens instead of Sharps LCD screens. Is there a huge difference? I think the Japanese and US batches will have the sharp LCD screens, but who knows after that? [IMG]

it has 1 dead pixel in the bottom right corner, it is a transparent white all the time it is on!

so 1 out of 480X272 (130 thosand) is okay by me

That white one looks nice. Anyways this thing looks cool, but i think I 'm gonna wait. It's a first-gen Sony product and I'm having to much fun with other games like VF4:EVO, Tekken 5, SFAE(xbox), and DOA2U. The Dark Stalkers game looks cool and all as does RR(as usual) but I think I'm gonna wait for at least a year. The WiFi for the aformentioned games sounds awesome tho' so I'm curios to see how that turns out.

Despite the price right now, I can see this totally catching on. My little bro was saying to me "The PSP is dumb. It's way too much money for a handheld." The I told him the shit you could do with it and theat it was a package deal, and he was like "Dude I'm gonna get one".

For now the NGPC is to only hand-held I have and like but hardly play it.

I played the DS when that first came out and thought that was ill as all fuck, but again consoles are just funner to play and I can use an arcade stick.

Im actually excited about the release, even though Im not going to getting one the 24 due to money issues, and yes I work but I have stuff to pay for ect. I might be getting one next month or so, I might get one for my gf too, but she always talking about getting a Digital camera so I might get that for her. As for the wireless play, your wi-fi card or adapter has to be compatable with the psp as not all of them are. Plus its really almost pointless to go to hotspots because most of them you will have to pay a monthly fee like at starbucks.

has anyone seen the british counter part that the 'press' say is going to take on the psp and ds? they call it the gizmondo, and it looks like a goddamn frying pan. seriously, some newspapers and the company themselves are actually confidant that they have a chance to break into the handheld market. yea rite. didnt anyone learn from the n-gage fiasco?

  18. RagingSilver

    RagingSilver Well-Known Member

Lol I seen the gizmondo and it has some nice features but they should just keep out the gaming industry and leave it to the pros. As for N-Gage, indeed that was a flop.

WTF is that thing, it looks like they tried to make it all futuristic. /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif Interesting but I dont know if it can really compete with sony or nintendo? http://www.gizmondo.com/

Urm the Gizmondo is a US product by Florida based Tiger Telematics.
They jujst chose to launch in an English speaking market with high GPRS penetration first.
