Question about jump attacks

I've started trying to play Virtua Fighter 5 again after a long hiatus. I started by going through Eileen's move list and got stuck at the very, very end in the "jump attacks" session.

Now, I'm aware that you can press /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/ub.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/ub.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif and this results in a sort of jump attack, but what exactly are they wanting from me for Eileen's rakuchisou (in midair) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif?

I don't know how to get up in the air except for the attacks I've already mentioned.

 

You input them like /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif.

So for the midair jumpin punch, you have to hold up and punch then release the punch button midair.

 

Wow, that's nutty. I can't believe I didn't get that by dumb luck as I tried everything I could think of, it's so simple.

Well, I feel silly. Thanks for the assistance though. I was able to finish my move list.

 

jump attacks can be desperate. there are ways to get off or yes, u can prevent him from getting you by moving sideways or that sort of moves. that probably will make him hurt himself.
