Question about VF4 counters...

Ok, so I'll admit, I'm a bit new to VF4 with my past 3d fighting experience being in vf1,2 and all of the tekkens. lately though, ive begun to appreciate the ability to counter rapidly and strategically in dead or alive 3. so, my question is, which character(s) is vf4 have the most/easiest to use/best counters and reversals and why?

 

Terminology note: around here, "reversal" is the sort of thing that happens all the time in DOA and "counter" refers to interrupting an opponent's move or hitting them during recovery.
That being said, Aoi has the best set of reversals, with Akira in second.
