Question regarding EVO PAL + EVO US

hey all, this is just a small question, but does the PAL version of EVO retain all of the features that the japanese version had, sans the costumes and shun di's redness? , like not just the evo stages but VF4 Vanilla stages as well? and will the US version of VF4 have these features too?

From what I've played of the game I can't tell any obvious difference. The PAL version has the vanilla VF4 stages included.

 

I have the European pal version of this game. Shun doesn't turn red after he drinks and Vanessa lost her 1P costume

 

The names in quest have changed obviously.

I think one of the videos from event square is gone too.

I remember someone saying tactics advice in pal was slightly larger but I can't remember who so take it with a pinchof salt.

All the important stuff is the same.

 

Man, I was so annoyed that they took Vanessa's 1P costume. At least you could make her look a little bit feminine in that one.

I also like the inclusion of the VF4 versions of the stages, and also there's a Fight Club with no people in it???

quick question thuogh, what are those videos you guys are talking about that are in event square?
and damn, there isnt a point to taking out 1P Costume for Van in EVO when original had it!

 

Theres video clips of a guy peforming moves and combos of characters with one hand.You buy them from the shop and watch it at the event square.

and one more question, for you guys that have it, how is the lighting of the VF4 and EVO stages? is it improved upon VF4 Vanilla stages in the original?

I find the lighting fine.Its actually quite moody in places such as Shuns cave or Wolfs wrestling ring.Jeffs beach stage looks amazing too but if you "loved" the "vanilla-ness" of the vf 4 stages you'll be pleased to know that you can unlock all the old staged to fight in ( some slightly modified ) as well as an old VF1 stage and of course the VF1 models. /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

is akira's VF4 Vanilla stage's lighting better than the original VF4's ? I found the stage's lighting in the original quite blah.

Any how yes I prefer evo Akiras stage lighting to the vf4 one, the only thing is that theres no sunrise/sunset in the background as you fight.But yes the lighting is nicer imo and all arenas look much clearer and nicer in general any way cos of the graphical tweaks.

 

I dunno if I'd say all the arena's look better. The graphic improvements are nice, but Pai's Evo aquarium is awful, the original version was cool as hell but the new version is just horrible.

 

Hmmm actually yes that is kinda of a let down that place...but imo the stages that look a lot bettter in evo are;
Kages,Lei Feis,Akiras,Wolfs,Lions and Jeffs though thats not to say the others don't look good.

 

Whats the beef with pai's stage it's a huge improvment from that non-antialised piece of shit that was in vf4. Its gone threw a considerable makeover and came out with a cleaner look and better music. I dont think there's one stage that i would take from vf4 to evo, the quality is so much better.

 

ya i really like Pai's evo stage too and i think all the stages look A LOT better! akira's has all the trees and actual environment outside! Kage's you can actually see the dragon on what now actualy look more like logs or whatever. Lion's castle/buildings look much clearer and more detailed. Evo is just the bomb! can't wait to get my hands on it!
