In the FT vids I keep seeing DE>DblPlm. My question is, is this possible on Evo? Has anyone tried this? And what are the requirements; foot position, weight, distance, etc.

I'm not sure if it works in Evo (the DE counter has to float and I don't remember if it does). If you have Evo on PS2, you can test this kind of stuff. Go to free training, set the CPU to counter hit + QR/TR, and try the move.

It's possible, and can be easily tested in training (which Plague pointed out). AC3 is a better option though and if you want to really scrub away do 1k after MC 66p :p

Yeap works on MC in both stances on the majority of characters.

AS3 is way easier and consistent to perform, but it only works in closed stance.

Well I did it. It works on most characters except heavy and akira and jacky. It's tough to pull it off consistently on regulas though, but it's very easy to do against lightweights. Damage=54. Also from 1p+k+gp(MC)does same damage. But I figure this is useful for open foot when ABC dosen't work, it's best to do ABC(followed by d punch if opponent dosen't recover) or DLC from closed foot.

I'd reccomend you re-test it then.

I tested every combo in the combo search before posting it up. I found you can do it vs Wolf and Jeff in c (as I actually said in the link I posted).

Since I'm nowhere near a ps2 atm, can someone doubkle check this/verify it?

Bear in mind the m-dbpm must be very quick.

Oh and not wanting to sound anal but if you had the "combo search" link on your favourites, why not simply check there first to see if you could do the combo as opposed to starting a whole new thread? Just a thought. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Oh I checked and thats why I tried it. It just didn't work. For regulas it did. Maybe I made a mistake. But if anyone else can try it and give some feedback then that would be better.

    [6][6][P] counter hit ~ [1][1][4][6][P]
Open stance only for Akira, Shun, Lion. For all other characters it works in any stance.

Heed the general advice already given in this thread.

Learn how to do instant DbPm consistently.

Try buffering the double palm like so:

    [2][1][2][1][4][6]+[P].

Here's a way to make sure you're doing it fast enough. Go into training vs Kage, and set the dummy to "guard all", and "counterattack with mid attack 2". He will respond to any blocked move with a sidekick.

Then do [6][6]+[P] (blocked), double palm. The double palm should beat the sidekick. If it doesn't, you're doing it too slow.

Plauge, Dandy , and LM, I want to personally thank you guys for all the help you gave me. Thanks to you guys I completed the mission and am doing DblPlm moves more faster and better than ever. I am now utilizing DblPlm as much as I can to make as much damage as possible. Thank you again, your advice was truly useful.
