1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. However, you can expect some VF5US specific changes to come soon!

Ranks: Finally got a character (Lion) up to Tsuwamono the other day. Comes w/ a red uniform. Aoi at 9-dan, SHun at 10-dan, Lei Fei down to 6-dan, Pai 5-dan, and Vanessa at shodan, w/ a total of about 50 matches. /versus/images/icons/smile.gif

You get another color (Gold) w/ a higher rank. Taisho I think (the one that requires 10-consecutive wins). If you have VF.NET for PC, you can trick the server and set your color to whatever you want (search my old post for this -- very easy if you know the value of each color).

Ver.B: THank God. I think someone actually lost w/ Jacky the other day though, so I'm sure they'll make him stronger

Me: New internet proxy at work, so my posts are EXTREMELY limited these days. Nothing personal to anyone, I'm just not home that much. Also, w/ the market the way it is, conserving money isn't the dumbest idea in the world, so I'm VF'ing MUCH less, although at least on my lunch break for 30 minutes each day.

    Ciao

congrats, those are some nice stats for a "I think jacky is cheap" kinda guy /versus/images/icons/laugh.gif ... and with aoi too, you should capture your matches someday.

About the html trick, can you also get items, or has nobody figured that out yet?

Well, that's my 2nd Aoi card... lost the first one due to jetlag at 8-dan several months ago. Took the longest to go from shodan to 5-dan, due to lack of players.

I assume you can do items to, if you know the value for each item (which someone would need to post). Not sure though. I didn't see the original message on the Japnaese board - only saw a friend w/ all gold outfits.

Basically, web-browsing on a mobile phone is the same as a computer. Select a radio button, send it to the server, and it updates the DB. The way VF.NET is set up (and most pages for that matter) is you can only send a value for something you have a radio button for. If don't have a certain item, no radio button -- can't send the value. however, if you know the value, then you can fake out the server by loading the page in your own web-browser, changing the HTML, reloading it, and hit the good old fashioned send button. /versus/images/icons/smile.gif

Does that mean that you can also trick VF.net in to thinking you are say a Meishou etc.??

Nope. There's no where in VF.NET that you choose your rank, so no way to send the message to the server. When you're on VF.NET (namely the color page), do File->View Source and check out he radio buttons. Each one has a value. That value denotes your colors.

Just save the file in notepad (but as .html), add another radio button, put the right value, open it in a web browser, select the new radio button you made, hit send, and off you go.
