1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. However, you can expect some VF5US specific changes to come soon!

like the title describes, this is a really stupid question, but i'm seriously asking...

are there any differences at all (besides language) between the Japanese version and US version of Virtua Fighter 5 for PS3?

again, really dumb question, but if anything i would assume the AI data and certain items would at least be a bit different. thanks for anyone who answers without being condescending, even though i probably deserve smart-ass remarks. [IMG]

I'm pretty sure there are no differences besides language as you said.

-commentary is set to Off by default.
-The US version is censored. Shun does not turn red when he drinks. (this was fixed in the xbox version)

all i can think of for now.

Remember, the Xbox version is more up-to-date than the playstation version of VF5. More items, gameplay tweaks, customisation tweaks, online play and quest mode has improved AI.

Don't know if the JP version of VF5 on the xbox is any different to what we have though.

if you can take using the 360 controller, that is the best version but that said we have gone back to playing the PS3 ver as we play locally and the differences between ver b (PS3) and ver C (360) don't feel that big and i can use my high grade on PS3!!!!

Or you can buy a stick for the 360 lolll. That argument about the box controllers being shit is so irrelevant. IMHO playing VF with a pad whetever it is ps3 or 360 is a VERY bad idea. Above any other games i think that VF really shines on a stick.

When 2 really good players are playing each other, the one with the stick clearly has the advantage. However, a really good player with a pad instead of a stick can still destroy all crappy-average players easily, that's my opinion.

Denkai uses pad and he's a beast. Nuff said.

Even when it's actually a statement which happens to be incorrect, passed as an opinion.

when it comes to talent level, a talented player with a stick has an edge over a talented pad player. if you can play on a stick, chances are you can play on a pad, but it's smoother with a stick.

I can, it's pretty easy to play on a pad as a Jeffry player. [IMG]

I can fake Tekken on a pad but that's about the only fighter I can play on a pad for some reason. SC sort of, too. I've noticed what Denkai said tends to be true. There are some who can play on both just fine but I find they tend to favor pad in general to begin with.
