Replacing EX-2's Ball Top for Bat Top

Hi,

I've always preferred the bat tops found in early VF arcade machines as opposed to the Ball Top that came with my Hori stick. Anybody knows if I can buy one Sanwa LB-30-N Joystick Bat Top and just screw it into my Hori?

Yup, you can replace the Hori ball with the bat-top very easily. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif It just screws right on.

 

just take the bottom plate off to expose the inside and then get a flathead screwdriver and place it under the joystick and then unscrew the balltop from the top while gripping your screwdriver from the bottom.

you might want to ask lizardlick if the bat top comes with an adapter because you will need one for the bat top to fit.

 

I finally replaced the ball with the bat top! Thanks 001 for the adaptor tip, I would have just bought the top without it and it wouldn't have fit.

It took me barely 5 minutes to do it.

All I have to say is WOW. I started winning most of my matches right away and by the end of the night my win/loss rate was clearly on the positive side - for a change. I hope it wasn't just a temporary boost in confidence... /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

That's a great guide right there CapnKill, I got my parts from Lizard too, they're highly recommended. I'll see if I have the balls to go for the Sanwa eight way controller replacement next! That's definitely something I'd like to do...

Hah, I just installed the bat handle and it is AWESOME!!! I'm home again!! HIGHLY recommend it. It costs about 10 bucs (including shipping) and takes about 10 min to install. Piece of cake!
