I'm really glad to hear this.

But, when you plug in your USB drive, you can instantly drag files from the Save folder in your ps3? Or there's a technique to do this?

You go to the save file in question, press the triangle button and select copy. It will give you options on where you would like to copy your save.

If you have an SD card plugged I think you can save to it through the game anyway. [Not sure]

Is it possible if i use my PSP? I don't really have a SD card.

All you need is a device to transfer the file save from your PS3 to your PC.

Is there no way to upload the file via the PS3's internet browser? Or perhaps to download them straight from the browser, and then move it to the appropriate folder?

You guys are doing a great job, though it seems extremely complicated. I may have to buy a portable storage device from the sound of it :\

Its not as hard as we've made it out to be. I used a SD card and a 7-in-1 card reader on my PC. The card reader is an external usb device and I picked it up at best buy for $15. Its really come in handy.

I think you can use your psp, I'll give that a try today. It should technically work. If nothing else, you could take the Mem Stick Duo out of the psp, put it in the ps3, transfer the files, put the stick back in the psp, hook the psp to the pc using a usb 4-pin. I don't see any reason that wouldn't work.

But I don't think you can use the internet browser. Theres really no FTP built into it, and if you were using a HTTP uploader I'm not sure how the file browsing would work.

Yeah, its not really that hard, its just copy and pasteing. You can't rename the anything about the initial folder names or files "the zip file you put the folders into is different, you can name that" and you must keep the replays inside the folders labled "PS3" and "SAVEDDATA". If you take the replay out of these folders and move the replays into your PS3 it won't work. You have to have an original "PS3" folder to put the replays back into.

I tried to make a folder named PS3 and put the replays in that, it would not work. I went back to my PS3 copied another replay, deleted the replay inside that folder and moved the other replay back in and it worked in my PS3.

I hope I did not lose anybody, LOL.

Nah, I understand what you're saying. It's just a lot more complicated than I had hoped it would be, what with the PS3 having internet browser access and all. I have around 10 replay files saved at the moment; I'll go through them sometime this week and try to put a couple of them on Yousendit if I can.

Hopefully the replay files will work on any region, because what Myke said about recording the replay as it's happening sounded way more complicated than this!

Considering jnl games was selling japanese Ps3s for $1400 , hell noI dont have a Japanese
PS3. Those greedy jerks, I snubbed them on purchasing Vf5 too. They got it a week late. Serves them right. They are still stuck with those Japanese models from launch day too.

What about memory stick duo? Can you transfer replays to that? Because thats what I have in my psp. You know it may even be possible to transfer save files directly to the PSPs memory stick just by using REMOTE PLAY feature on PSP/PS3.

WHY DO I GET the feeling You cant save replays in QUEST MODE, where arguably some of the best matches ever are fought? I dont care about arcade mode replays, because the arcade at the hardest difficulty pales in comparison to the quest mode AIs. But if you cant save replays in Quest mode, this game seriously gets the middle finger as a console port. THEY BETTER make a patch. No ONLINE mode is one thing, but this'd be the last straw. Ive been pressing SELECT AFTER my epic Quest mode matches, and nothing.

If you cant save replays in arcade OR quest, then that means IGN was 2/3 right about not being able to save replays. And the people who gave me shit over bringing that up before owe me 2/3 of an apology. This is a dwngrade from evo. A 60 gig hard drive going to waste.

You can't save quest or arcade mode replays. I think that it's silly too. It wasn't a problem in evo either so... o_O

No one cares about saving replays in quest mode anyways.

There is simply zero point in uploading vids against cpu opponents.

    I do.

I actually had a lot of fun watching my own replay files in the quest mode, in EVO.

Single-player replays are useful for proof of concept videos of bugs, move properties, or other incidental, interesting occurrences in the game. They let you examine what happened at your own pace, learn from it, and share it with others. Trying to replicate something that you saw against the AI with two players when you don't know what was done in the first place is just frustration.

Man, I don't like these blanket statements. You're speaking for me when you phrase it like that. I don't like it. I recommend saying it something like this:

"I don't care about saving replays in quest mode. Also, I don't want to use my time watching people play the CPU."

It gets your point across and it's true.

You know what's true, people posting replays of EVO quest mode back in the days and everyone said it's a pointless waste of time.

Even when people post clips of US or other western players playing each other people say it's a waste of time. So go figure.

Here's the full sentence with the untrue part in bold.

It's not everyone. It's some people. Maybe even alot of people... and if you're secretly boo-hooing about someone knocking you for posting Evo Quest Mode replays - grow a spine.

And consider your deflection via subject change MC'd. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif
