Yes - you can transfer a PS3 VF5 replay save to your computer for storage/emailing/uploading (so someone else can download it). You can not watch the replay file on your PC, though.

Eagle13VFDC told me that there is a way to actually load the video straight from your ps3 to youtube?

Can you save replays of matches in Quest Mode on either the PS3 or 360 version of VF5?

In VF4:EVO you could save replays of Quest Mode and you could see specifically how the A.I. was programmed for various situations. It appeared that the computer would behave in a moral style of play for almost every situation that it was programmed for (with a bit of variation on the side to make it look like it was making mental mistakes). It also looked like the A.I. did not read your inputs (except in dumb cases like below) which was a refreshing change compared to most other fighting games computers. It does look like the A.I. inputs everything in one frame for all directions and button presses though which is a bit off the mark.

Though the VF4:EVO A.I. had its downsides, like no use of walls, or having zero ring space awareness whatsoever, and never attacking after rounds ended. If you used the same throw (not the same direction but the same throw) the CPU would eventually have a 100% escape rate against you within that match (but it would reset if you lost and re-matched right after). And lastly the CPU would escape throw directions randomly and not logically (like always escaping f+p+g against Wolf is logical) because it would escape db+p+g against Wolf and Akira just as many times as any other direction.

I'm asking this because I think the VF5 360 A.I. was very lazily programmed including reading inputs. The A.I. uses throw escapes at the most absurd times and often low throw escapes from situations where it could only be done on reaction.

I know some people on here have stated that the A.I. in VF5 version C is just as good as the A.I. in VF4:EVO but I honestly think that the A.I. is VF5 is marginally inferior. I know some people also accused Sega of reusing the VF4:EVO A.I. and dumping it directly into the VF5 version B A.I. on the PS3 which would be even worse.

However the only true way to test this is to see the inputs that the A.I. is making.

If VF5R or 5FT ever makes its way to consoles I would hope that Sega uses the input data from regular arcade players and incorporates that into the Quest A.I. instead of the sloppy CPU A.I. we have now.

Also (now we are getting off topic!) an A.I. that can be updated (kind of like the original VF4 train an A.I. mode) where Sega can add new combos and flow-charts via patches would be nice but now we are getting ambitious.

I know that Blizzard would change the A.I. patterns for its RTS games sometimes because of changes to values of minerals or gas or whatnot.

No, you can't save replays from quest mode matches. Not on PS3 or 360.

There was only talk about that service being added to PS3 long time ago. I guess it turned out zilch as so many things.
