1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. However, you can expect some VF5US specific changes to come soon!

UK gaming magzine Play recently this on their official Twitter feed:

Speculation time. We already know SSF4AE, TTT2, SFxT, TxSF, SCV and all other manner of initialisms under the sun have been announced. I doubt it'll be MK or Marvel since they're still enjoying very recent success, and it's unlikely to be Guilty Gear due to the ownership issues.

There are four franchises I can think of it being (if it is true):
    Virtua Fighter
    King of Fighters
    Super Smash Bros
    Killer Instinct

What do you guys think it might be?

I think they may actually be talking about Soul Calibur or Dead or Alive or something like that. If not, then a new King of Fighters game, this time a proper one, would be great!

As always, I do hope this is Virtua Fighter. I'm an atheist, but I would believe in a miracle, it's just that it's SEGA. They are one of the most talented developers and one of the dumbest publishers/distributors in the gaming industry.

Most likely soul calibur, as I remember their next version is in the works and not much info has leaked about it yet. It could also be dead or alive.

didn't dead or alive already return with the recent release of Dimensions and I thought they (sort of) announced DOA5, I know DOA: Dimensions' chronicle mode ends with some sort of cliffhanger.

I can't imagine it being VF, even though SEGA seem to be announcing games when they're practically fully developed these days ...Guardian Heroes and Shinobi were both playable on the day they got announced, both will be out in the next 4 months too.

I expect it to be Super Smash Bros, Killer Instinct or Darkstalkers. Though I don't remember Darkstalkers being huge.

I hope it turns out to be Clayfighter or Rise of the Robots [IMG]

King of Fighters - From what I remember it has already been announced
Super Smash Bros: maybe for Wii 2?
    Killer Instinct: Long time rumor
    Soul Calibur: announced
    Darkstalkers: huge?
    DOA 5: possible
    VF5FS: possible

So I will guess that it is between VF and DOA. However, isn't the VF franchise somewhat popular in the UK?
    We shall see.

    Update:
someone asked if it was Killer Instinct. They replied NO
someone asked it it was a new VF. No reply [IMG]

honestly why this game has not been remade is beyond me. I think it would be awesome if they remade this game with HD graphics and net play.
