Man I'm all for LOTS of events but WHY ARE THEY ALL OVERLAPPING. Haha, seriously, it sucks [IMG] It's obviously no one's fault, but I just wanna go to them all and can't. Not only that it kinda splits everyone.

We got this and TWP's PA tourney on the same day. AND supposedly the MLG tournament for VF is on the same weekend as GVN summer jam, and I'm really torn about the MLG one. I feel like MLG is the better choice since if there is no turnout, MLG will drop it. But at the same time, Hubbs and Jaxel have been the biggest supporter of NorthEast VF tournaments since before I can remember [IMG]

My sentiments exactly. The VF scene is small enough as it is.

The way I'm looking at this kind of stuff is for people that can travel to the farther events, should go to them. People who can't afford/plan for other reasons a trip like that should go to the event closer to them.

There is a high possibility that some people would not have been able to go to one event but are able to make the other. For people who can make both events easily, I'd say go to the one that you would do more good at. In the MLG event case, I'd say go to that since they'll drop the game. However the Summer Jam is looking to get 64 people at least so that's a big deal too.

Just go to the one that makes more sense guys. I'd love to have as many people at Dave and Busters as possible in Philadelphia but I understand loyalty/convenience. Either way you're playing VF!

I just have another crowd I'm catering too and date restrictions. It's hard nowadays to even find a date when things aren't overlapping. Heck I was about to ask Jaxel to stream at my event until I noticed his was happening : /

Yeah, event overlaps are inevitable. The last event I ran for VF overlapped with an event in NY. That was unfortunate, but when both events were announced, one had Soulcalibur and the other had Anime games; both events got VF at the last minute because both St1ckbug and I like VF and decided to add it to our lineups.

But as I said, its inevitable. I selected August 11 for 2 reasons... 1, I always plan my events on UFC PPV nights so that we can have that running after the event... and 2, because its one of the few weekends available that DONT have majors on them. Thats probably why TheWorstPlayer has his event on the same weekend. Its unfortunate but you're surrounded by events and TOs do their best not to conflict.

That being said, my events are 3D only, while other events have 2D games... if you like those 2D games, its an easy choice for you. If you're a 3D player only, then its another easy choice. My tournaments are also a "party", lots of alcohol and grilling.

I want to remind people that we play CRT... So if you want to play on an EVO monitor, you need to bring it yourself. Also please bring consoles with games.

You can bring your XBox... and if BOTH players agree to play on XBox, I will allow it during the tournament. But if either player says they want to play on PS3, then the PS3 gets priority...

Fair enough? I have a dual modded joystick, so I'm okay either way.

I'm stuck on xbox, I'll need a fine upstanding ps3 owner to let me use their stick. I can bring my xbox. I just don't want anybody walking off with it ;P. NO but seriously I will find you.
