    Selfish topic this time.

Have u modded ur sticks w. Sanwa or Seimitsu buttons? What are your experiences w. the two brands, and why have you chosen one over the other? Is there really a major difference? I've heard that Seimitsus might be a bit less responsive; is there a risk that inputs might not be registered? I so, how large is that risk?

Thank you for your time dudes /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

I think when people say semitsu is "slightly less responsive", they're actually talking about the amount of pressure required to activate the button. Even in that case, the difference is very very minimal. Then again, maybe its just me. I don't press the buttons, I mash them. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

I don't know nothing about the seimitsu's push buttons

I've always loved Sanwa buttons, probably because Sega use them in all their machines and I've gotten used to them. Never used Seimitsu's, but they are known to be not as sensitive.

I've never used Seimitsu, but I've been told the buttons have a click to them. Also you can get them in cool colors and light up and all that.

What about the stick itself? I've only used Sanwa again, out of the two, but the Seimitsu is supposed to have a shorter throw over a Sanwa. So the space between "neutral" and to a direction, is smaller on a seimitsu than it is on a sanwa.

Personally I feel that I should've gone with seimitsu when I had that choice.

btw I hear that seimitsus are mainly designed for 'shoot em ups'.

    PSN:
    SuperVernier
    XBL:
    GUILTY GAIJIN
    for both buttons and sticks:
sanwa = light and responsive (best for fighters)
seimitsu = strict, clicky and too precise for their own good (best for shmups)

I've modded 2 controllers with Sanwa buttons and 1 with Seimitsu and I actually refer the Seimitsu because they're not as sensitive, more to the point, the Sanwa buttons are TOO sensitive (I hit them by accident a lot).

Stick I use and stay with Sanwa JLF.

Yea they're better for shmups than sanwa, and the seimitsu 4 way gate (no diagonals) is much better than that of sanwa.

But still, seimitsus are used in a lot of fighting game cabs aswell. SBO uses seimitsu IIRC. I stick with Sanwa though, might one day buy a seimitsu and try it out but have no desire for that right now.
