save file dissapearing?

Ok...my save file just went kapoof. All my characters got deleted. Anybody else have this problem?

 

Nope, that sucks man. Atleast you've still got the stuff that matters tucked away in your brain.

 

Nope, but it did happen to me in the past (more than 2 years ago I think) with Call of Duty and Dead or Alive 4 saves on 360.
They told me it's some kind of bug where the console creates a new save faster than it loads an existing one, resulting in overwriting your current save with an empty one.
They told me back then to patch it via XBL, but I got so pissed, I sold my 360.

 

wow never heared from it on VF5...
maybe your HD is about 2 die... sry if i scared you but better make some copys of your saves and transfer it on a memory unit...

 

I had something like this happen, but in a really weird way.

So I had a couple of profiles on my system and two on mem cards. While I had some friends over, we were constantly switching between profiles and having to reload a lot. Suddenly, we had save files migrating across profiles. My profile was associated with my friends profile, and his save moved to another profile. We thought it was weird, but kept playing anyway. The next day, my friends save wasn't on any profile. We ended up deleting my save because it was on the wrong profile, but I thought it was strange that one of the saves just vanished.

This might not apply to your situation, but I thought I'd share my experience anyway.

It's never happened to me, and I accidentally turned off the game during the "Saving do not turn off the console" message.

 

I had around 6,000 matches of VF4:Evolution....I'm saving my game...power goes out. Lost all matches and items won.

Fortunately for VF4:EVO you could use Gameshark devices and unlock every item and even edit your win/loss data. Though I had to replay all of the tutorials which was annoying.
