1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. Screencaps of the movies, can anyone translate? (images in post)

Can anyone translate these? I cropped and enlarged but it seems borderline. I know that the pic with the vertical bars are showing progression through a national championship. I didn't cap the stuff that's already obvious or has been posted already.

It seems now the CPU can be set to struggle in training, don't you guys think? /versus/images/icons/smile.gif Which means an even easier way to determine whether some combos would work or not .

BTW I would also like to know what those mean; I would like to know as much as possible to be ready when it comes out /versus/images/icons/grin.gif

1st Pic: Shows a new trial training option. The objective is to throw when you have initiative.

2nd Pic: Ring Options -> Wall settings. New option to set breakable walls.

3rd Pic: Position settings. New option to place yourself and your opponent in a different position other than center. New options include having your back at the edge of the ring, or your opponent's back at the edge.

4th Pic: Display settings. New option here is to display Throw Escape Information. I'm not sure how this is displayed, maybe similar to the ver.C PS2 throw escape training?

5th Pic: New options for CPU to set the rising speed and struggle (from stagger) speed.

6th Pic: too small, can't read clearly :p Looks like new CPU "guard" settings.

7th Pic: More practical training teaching you useful flowcharts and air combos.

8th Pic: Quest mode. Showing the path to a tournament. Starts with a requirement to win 10 matches at game center A, then win the competition at game center A, then beat the top 3 players at game center B, then win a competition at game center B, and so on until you eventually reach the National tournament.

9th Pic: Command guides, explaining some commands to more depth. This particular one is talking about using reversals.

10th Pic: continued frm 9th pic, this is explaining about rising attacks.

11th Pic: In free training, it allows you to practice in a specific situation by using the various settings.

[/ QUOTE ] My only hope is that the game allows you to set the training dummy to counter with specific attacks (eg. guard, then counter with specific throws designated by the player, or specific strikes). A new feature like this could prove extremely useful.
