Section Updates

Don't get too excited, but the Media and Links sections have finally been updated and should be a little more useful now.

The Events section will be updated next.

I figure if someone already has mirc (or similar) installed, then they should be competant enough to find #vfhome given the information in the IRC section. If someone doesn't have mirc installed, then clicking on irc:// might just confuse things?

OK I'll remove VF4fx for now then. I was under the impression that since feixaq seems to have renewed interest in the game that he might continue to mirror movies.

Actually, vfevo.com is asociated with vfzone.com and has nothing to do with virtuafighter.co.kr which is now TBZone's new domain. So vfzone is featured on the Media section because of it's huge archive. TBzone is not because any new media it gets is usually posted in the Media board.

And as far as Texas and VFR (and other sites with media) are concerned, I don't want to include them on the Media page since they tend to cycle out their movies and there could be periods of time when they aren't serving any at all. These sites (and others) are all mentioned in the Links section, but really, people should be turning to the Media board for their regular movie fix.

If you recall, I had links to Daioh and TBZone on here and they've probably been the quietest sites in terms of media serving for the best part of the year.

Unless a site acts as a mirror or archive, then I don't want it featured on the Media section. It's easier to maintain this way.

 

Events section has been updated.

It now includes a Latest Tournaments table which shows the latest threads from Jamboree with the word "tournament" in the Subject. So if you plan on promoting your tournament, I suggest sticking to this convention. I may ultimately end up creating a Tournaments board but in the mean time, I'll see how much mileage I get out of this, much simpler solution.

The Latest Tournaments will be featured on the front page of the site shortly.

 

You may have noticed there's a new Tournaments board. All tournament related threads now go in there (except no requests!@#!!) /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I've moved all the old tournament threads from Jamboree to the new board, and the Events section has been updated accordingly.

 

LOL /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif yeah that's a weird side effect of doing a mass thread move.
