Sega planning something soon for VF5...

Tis not gonna happen but this is interesting cause they've just started to announce their TGS lineup.

 

I love the oxymoron in that.

An announcement (which is basically informing the public about something) that is SECRET (which is basically NOT informing ANYONE about something).

So... they're basically saying that they're not going to say anything when they do say it.

To think that all this time I've really been hoping and hoping for an American version of VF5R. Dayam.

THQ's and EA's mixed martial arts fighters are going to eventually erode the VF fanbase We're in the process of planning a tournament for sometime October/November, and we've been asked alot about will UFC2009 or Tekken6 be featured. we had a couple of queries about SFIV, but no mention of Soul Calibur or VF I've seen a few gamers pick up UFC 2009 that were not fans of any other fighting game.

I'm just wondering... Sega could be doing us more than the usual amount of harm by not releasing VF5R, I do think UFC 2009 and the mixed martial arts combat genre appeals to a chunk of VF players and to new players who would probably get into VF
. But Sega doesn't push Virtua Fighter, no real advertising. They sit on major upgrades, keeping them in Japan, on the other hand THQ is pusing UFC 2009, EA is going to push their new MMA
it might be that future potential VF players will be lost to these new games.. Especially with all of the hype

If UFC 2009 racked up over 1 million in sales in half a month, that's gotta say something about the popularity of mixed martial arts combat games. In the past VF just competed with
Tekken, SC, and to a lessor extent DOA, but I think now they'll be competing with UFC and EA's new MMA, which means that the sales of VF are probably going to really suffer. Sega's window is now. Sega should be releasing and hyping VF5R
or VF6 for the next 18 months in order to stay in the game

I can't explain why, but because of this post, I have this overwhelming feeling that you're terrible at VF.

 

Well... Let's C since the release of Virtua Fighter 4

I have over 1000 losses in single elimination tournaments.
I have over 300 losses in double elimination tournaments.
I have over 2500 losses in causal exhibitions.

As of January this year I can now loose at any point in the match that I choose. If I prefer to loose as the clock goes to zero I can. I can also decide whether I loose to a punch, kick, throw, ring out, or times up. Beyond that I can also
decide how much health my opponent has left in each round that
I loose. I have lost matches to every kind of player, noobs, scrubs, casual players, and one or two top players. I have lost almost every kind a way that you can loose in virtua fighter to every single character. I say almost here, because there are 197 or 193 (depending on which version of VF we are talking) ways left that I have not yet lost by. But I think soon I will have experienced those as well.

I have lost matches in front of my girl, my friends, my boys, my family, my co workers, my classmates. I've even lost a couple of matches in front of city officials. I've lost matches in my house, at my University, at the local sports bar, at civic centers, in garages, in basements, and front rooms, I've lost matches in high school gyms. I've lost VF matches at Holdiay Inns and metroplexes. I've even lost a VF match in an Escalade

I've learned how to control when I loose in a match even while spamming a single move over and over. Yep, I can let U know in advance what that move will be and at what point in the round I'll let U take my remaining health and make sure that it turns out that way.

my dojo of scrubs is planning a tournament somewhere in October-November of this year. Not sure of the date at the moment. It will be in Youngstown Ohio. Nothing would make me
happier than to have you put another loss in my loss column.
I could guarantee that you would be allowed to keep between
5% -7% of your health at the end of 1rst and 2nd rounds and that you would win by time up in every 3rd round we play

Now if the Youngstown Ohio thing doesn't work 4 U I'm sure
that PS3 online will get here at some point whether through VF5R or VF6, I have lost any VF matches online yet (PS3)

Panda, maybe U would be the first to do the honors. Maybe my
first loss online could be 2 U. I'd like that. I also
