1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. Nice!

Still kills me to this day why Daytona isn't available on XBL/PSN. If it's a licensing issue, can't they just rebadge/retitle the sucker?

They re-released it for the arcade recently with smoother visuals and renamed it Sega Racing Classic, so I'm surprised they haven't released that.

That said "Sega Racing Classiiiiiic, Let's Go Away!" doesn't have the same ring to it.

What's the difference between this a Revo?

played the demo (plus read some gamers reviews)......and its 30fps............NO SALE.

original desert track doesn't have the original music. there's only like..5 tracks in total.

this is the true definition of bare bones.

sega..WTF..again. the price is right tho...

After reading how bad it is, it seems more like this:

    - All the new content is from Sega Rally 3, which is basically the arcade version of Revo.

    - Revo tracks are gone, replaced by SR3 ones. They are one-off courses of Tropical -> Canyon -> Alpine -> Lakeside in Championship mode. The first 3 use assets and some sections of their Revo counterparts to make new versions. The Lakeside course is completely new, not based off the one from Revo.

    - Championship mode is there like the old games, where you go from last to first over the course of 4 tracks, instead of everything being a single race like Revo. Only difference is you go 2 laps around each course instead of 1. There is a time limit and checkpoints, etc.

    - Includes the remake of the Desert course from SRC with the Celica and Delta.

    - Cars are from Revo, since they don't have the license for the newer cars that were in SR3.

    - Physics are a little different, from what I hear there is less emphasis on driving in tire tracks, though it still gives a boost. Behind car camera is fixed instead of tracking poorly, think Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune.

    - Still 30fps, unlike the arcade version which is 60fps.

Also I saw this on NeoGAF, from a guy that used to work at SRS, regarding Revo:

Awww... I'll skip this one since I just got Revo in the bargain bin for my son a few months back.

Hope that Daytona remake gets ported. [IMG]
