Ok, here's the deal. If you like dynasty warriors, then after you finish reading this post, find time and money to go to your local game store, and preorder this game. Even better if you can import a copy.

To sum it up quickly, this game rules. Many of the problems (that I felt) in previous dynasty warrior games have been fixed. For example, loading time is almost non existent. Character models are much much more detailed and sharp, the same can be said about the overall graphics in this new update. Horses actually is fun to use now. You can take out whole columns of troops in one run now, unlike before where it's easier and faster to just get off the horse. Enemies are now much more aggressive and many of the stronger enemies have a "mid boss" feel because of their aggressiveness and attacks.

You can now earn points to buy different skills and build up your character that way. You can level up your attack range, button string attacks, better counter skills, make the healing items more effective, etc. Just to name a few. Character attack animations now feels faster, more stylish, and more streamlined. Music wise, the game use a more techno sounding track choice instead of the rock type of music.

All in all, this new edition of dynasty warriors is very very worthy of a purchase, especially if you liked the previous ones. The change to a Japanese setting may turn off some people, but the game maintains the same feel. Anyways, just buy this game.

I didn't like dynasty warriors because it just seemed like more of the same thing over and over again. Is there more 'changing up' in this game? I just don't like how you'd just do the same 3 hit combo over and over again ... for the ENTIRE game =P

cause I saw a friend of mine playing the newer version of it, suposedly it has more things than the original, I haven't played it so I don't know.

This is the import version of sengoku warriors, which is called Samurai Warriors in the US. It's not out in the US yet.

There are alot more variations of attacks now in the new version, so most likely it's not as boring for most people. Nevertheless, it's basically kill everything in sight.

p.s. In case anyone cares, the ending theme is performed by BoA.
