Set PS2 VF4 training dummy to struggle...

Don't know if this was mentioned or not. I just stumbled onto it (ha ha).

If you go into free training and choose record, try a move that staggers the opponent, then press start, choose record (overwrite the first recording), and do it again. Now press start and do it a third time (again overwrite).

During the first two recordings, the opponet will not struggle, but during the third recording it will struggle and guard perfectly. Seeing perfect struggling is kind of scary... one second they're backstaggering, a few frames later they twitch and are suddenly guarding.

This has only some use because it shows struggling that is above and beyond what any human can accomplish. If a move still hits in this situation, you'll know it's truly guaranteed.

To reset the computer back to no-struggle land, just choose any of the options in Position Settings on the menu.

 

Say I pick Jacky & set the CPU to normal hit then go through the process you describe using to get the stagger...When I'm finished will the CPU struggle perfectly the , + & an iaigeri?

Just curious...I'm gonna check this out myself & answer back if no one else feels like bothering.

 

I haven't tested every move, but so far moves that cause stagger with just a normal hit (like wolf's f+K+G) are struggled, so I'd bet that jacky's f,f+K, iaigeri, and df+K+G will all be struggled anyway.
