Ash_Kaiser Marly you no good jabroni I make you humble... Bronze Supporter

There is a video of Guile using his air throw against a lot of different moves on Youtube. Even supers and ultras aren't safe from him.

Same thing goes for Cammy and Chun Li. I forget if anybody else has an air throw, but if they do it all works the same.

Yeah it would be cool. I definitely ponder the use of 2 stocks for some of the stuff. Like lets assume your using Akuma. cr.forward > light hurricane > fierce DP. does 292 damage. But lets say instead you go ... cr.forward > light hurricane > jab DP > FADC > hcb+fierce. does 349 damage. And the FADC combo is something you see often in high level play in japan even. I mean, 2 stocks for an extra 60 damage? 60 damage isn't a lot in this game. For those who haven't looked at it, see it like this. Akuma's normal sweep does 110 damage. Your looking at less than a sweep's damage for 2 more stocks. AND its a lot harder. It's almost worth it just saving for an EX air fireball for more pressure later on.

All that in mind there are some DEFINITELY useful ones. Like Abel's. Landing Abel's cr.fierce is no picnic. But cr.mp > change of direction > FADC > cr.fp > ULTRA. That shit is definitely worth it. But it would be nice for more characters to get a wider variety of use out of it.

EDIT: FADC combo notation was wrong, forgot the hurricane in it.

Damn Footsweep is 110? I did Abel combos in challenge and they should be alot stronger than what they are. That why im never really in a rush to give my stocks most of the time because its not worth it if you winning the match. I mean once you start getting beat up you have a ultra waiting. The possibility would be damn near endless and more fun. I just figure Capcom would been on it like that being that this is 4 after all.

Hey Joho maybe in SF4 turbo lol! thanks for understanding.

Hey SDS since I had the "guts" to call you out when I was bothered by your opinions, I'll stand up and apologize as well now that I've been reading the more recent stuff and actually enjoying all the suggestions and discussions around. It's a lot more interesting this way /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Hope my game gets here soon. Supplier was out of stock to fill my pre-order so it was pushed back one more week /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif sux2bme

Cool its all good an i accept. calling someone out keeps the Fire lit under me though. Just don't get bothered by the opinions cause everybody has them Dark and i want you to know that i never voice an opinion if i haven't gave it a thorough walk through. I know i may come off arrogant but im not.Its just that I think Capcom said this gae was easily accessible just to sell it.In reality it is'nt because those Link combos can't be done by any noob just the ultras lol!

Actually I think noobs won't even finish the normal combo challenge mode on most chars.

Thats what im saying. I just believe that game yield better results to Casual gamers because of the non demanding ultra's that get you back into the match/fight.

I think the game has enough depth that noobs will get owned 9 out of 10 times minimum. Somewhat akin to VF, but not quite as bad. Actually, beginners are almost harder to beat in VF than mid-level players just because they're unpredictable.

The Ultra can do some damage and even out the match some, but that's an intentional part of the game balance. Part of the "balance" of Abel's skills (for example) is that when he does get an ultra, fireball characters may have to abandon the fireball for fear of your Ultra. That way, it adds another layer of strategy.

The reversals are REALLY easy, I don't know what's up with that other than: if you miss the uppercut you will eat whatever combo your opponent wants to hit you with. But knocking Akuma out of the air, only to have him instantly uppercut as he hits the ground is tough to deal with, but that's why it's more about predicting than reacting now.

If you predict their move, you have a lot of options to kill it and counter for a big combo. I miss my little chances for punishment waaay too often so far. I wonder how much I'm going to have to play to actually be any good... I'm thinking it's gonna be a lot.
