Only top 4 is going to be streamed? Damn, I wish there was more action... Still hype to FS at SS2k12 though.

      Only top 4? =/

I mean, I don't wanna sound ungrateful but whatever, I'll be tuning in of course.

No - it will be top 8, and we will plan to have exhibition matches in the morning beforehand! @akai can you update?

Argh, the Shadowloo site still lists top 4, but discussion has been for 8. Should be time, will clear up and report back.

We had a pools schedule on secondary stream but the organisers decided due to small streaming time for a couple of other games with international guests' games (3S and KOF) it would be moved to just top 8.

Exhibitions on the Sunday morning before finals are a 90% sure thing though

With multiple games competing for stream time and Final Showdown being a last minute addition, it most likely would mean less stream time for the game.

Thanks for the update Berzerk. Original post updated. Let me know if the exhibition matches are confirmed and which stream channel it would go under when you have a chance.

Also Japan 3S top player MOV has joined the tournament. Gamerbee and Tokido will most likely sit out until its out

Really nice effort by Myke and Ryan Heart but unfortunately getting even 1 round is extremely impressive against Fuudo at this stage.

Australians had their chance, time for americans at evo. [IMG] [IMG]

      Yeah, good luck with that!

Seriously though massive thanks to Berzerk and SEGA for making this even possible! Everyone had a great time over the course of the weekend nd its shame to see it end. The official release can't come soon enough as far as I'm concerned!

I can only look back at a few days ago and smile as I remembered how worried I was that I didn't know any post KO sober combos vs Shun [IMG] turns out I had much bigger problems to deal with first!

Anyone looking at this event as a preview of what Evo may be like, just remember that if what folks are saying is true in that the game will be released before Evo, then you should have time to get up to speed. I only played it this weekend I was starting to feel somewhat comfortable within the system.

Yeah Exhibition matches and Top 8 was more than enough; big thanks and props to the Shadowloo crew for that.

Well done to everyone who took part!

Didn't expect Fuudo to get toppled. Not yet anyway. EVO is coming. That's a pretty good place for it to happen!

that was excellent to watch. Well done everyone, and thanks for the stream and game access.

Fuudo is beast. that last match against Ryan was pure hilarity.

Thanks everyone for watching and to Mike for coming down, it really added immeasurably.

Big props to Sega Australia for supplying the game for the weekend.

I was so pleased with the top 8 matches and the participation of Fuudo, Ryan Hart (who really came good after a shaky start in pools), MOV who as a 3rd strike champion was a pleasant, enthusiastic surprise participant, and the Australian players who all did a great job with such a short time with the game.

Special mention to AlexMD, Kisou, Kenny (eltwelve), Wickdood, Borgieman, and the CouchWarriors and Shadowloo crew.

I think we showed with those matches that VF is not "slow" or "boring" or even "too hard", as the fundamentals were so important, as much as it was astounding to see Fuudo rocking everyone with preternatural response time and skill.

Yes, that final moment will go down in history... seriously you have to watch it [IMG]
