Shenmue 2 XBox EXCLUSIVE, PSOv2 coming to it too..

Microsoft has BOUGHT EXCLUSIVE rights to Shenmue 2, it will not be relased till next year as Yu is going to completely rework the game to take advantage of the Box'. PSOv2 will also be an graphical upgrade and will also be available on the PC with XBox + PC playing likely. Prob not GC or DC.

In addition Sega and MS have partnered to make arcade hardware based on the XBox, this hardware with eventually be called ..... can you guess? Naomi 3

Either way, it just cements my decision NOT to buy one.

 

I have the Jap vision of Shenmue II/versus/images/icons/cool.gif, so I don't really care to much if the gay x-box is having it or not..

Jesus are you on the Microsoft payroll or something? Why do you think this system is going to be so damned great? It's first party games do not look all that hot. Unless they sell more systems( very unlikely) they are not going to have the third party support that Sony has. I just am not seeing what you see.

LOL...me on the MS payroll..ROFLOL..ask Phil (aka Cause) my opinions about xbox...I am just looking at the current crop of games comming out and history. Even most 3rd party developers are saying that as soon as sony looses (note they say as soon, not if) its market share and it drops below 50%, they will drop the system entirely. Look at Halo, Dead or Alive 3, Gotham...good lord...these, at least graphically, CRUSH anything else out there.

Yeah but if graphics sold systems why didn't the N64 sell more systems then the PS one. Trust me whatever system gets all the big name games first will win and right now that is Sony. I also do not think Halo and DOA3 will sell systems to the masses.

I doubt I'll buy Halo because Bungie has deviated so far from its original specs for the game. Plus there's little point in playing an FPS on a console, it'll be awhile before the console FPS scene is anything like the PC FPS scene.

I refuse to buy DOA3 purely because of Itagaki's comments.

Project Gotham, I'd *love* to pick up. I like MSR a lot, and I'd love to drive around the streets of NYC...

 

I agree with you on Halo...personally I am a pad and mouse man...I need those to do anything seriously. I will get DOA3 if the game is good...after playing tekken 4, I can see what he said..that game really is some dissapointing crap.

Well, given that Xbox's crown jewels do absolutely nothing for me, I wasn't buying one in the first place. Them screwing DC owners just justified it that tiny bit more. Sorry.

Well, not really. Fact is, Sony's established, they're not getting knocked off this console race. Not when they're the only player that can actually turn a profit for developers off game sales alone. The GC and the Xbox right now are still in launch pahse comparatively. No industry analysists or retailers expect the Xbox to be successful, and that developer shift you're banking on will never happen Shadowdean.

All in a neat tidy bow. Power's nothing without support. Xbox does not have it.
