basically tomorrow... mr. Myamoto of nintendo is comming to virgin megastores on oxford street from 1:00pm to 3:00pm to promote zelda on the GBA, he is also willing to sign ONE thing per person, and the first 10 people in line will receive a free copy of zelda on the GBA..

well i went to meet him today had to wait like 4 hours ina a line and eventually got my n64 signed at the end.

the name "super" mario was brought about after he had discovered the capability of srinking and enlargening nes sprites..

the idea of mario growing from a mushroom was taken from alice in wonderland "apperantly"....

so the facts say...

 

Oh yeah right, must be why they use completely different set of sprites for regular Mario and Super Mario.

Well, that kinda takes his comments on "gardens" in a whole new light. Remember that he refered to the worlds in Mario 64 as "his gardens," and Pikmin, of course, was "inspired" by his love of gardening.

Of course, the guy's a creative genius. Maybe we should be getting all the videogame developers to, ahem, experiment more. It's not like we need more Tomb Raider or Metal Gear clones.

And, as anyone familiar with Lewis Caroll knows, the Alice books are heavily influenced by psychotropic drugs.
