Shun Di is da man

for all you shun di players out there, give me some feedback on why you chose him to play as and what is his best move, so on and so forth, you get the idea

 

Low kick, that's his best move. I play him because I love the low kick. /versus/images/icons/cool.gif

 

I played him since VF2... not sure why.

I started using him in VF4, as I saw a lot of people doing kewl tricky shit with him. Then Ver. C came out, and most of those people switched characters. The ones that didn't, like me, got knocked down several dans. Now I've grown accustomed to Ver. C, and I've stuck with him b/c he's the underdog... likely the underest in the game. I love bitch-slapping a good PPPK lau with him. Of course, I don't always win. /versus/images/icons/frown.gif

Those are some of my favorite moves that I use a lot. Also, I love his 270 throw.

 

well i think i picked shun di because of just the variety of his moves, his fighting style, and his ability to make me laugh after every match or even during the match...my favorite move is the throw, it's so awesome, just wish i could get it goin on a normal basis like his normal throw

 

I choosed Shun because his unique style and i usually play all fighting games with some old man.
Moves i think is good are
+ and if enemy falls down then ++.
is also good move because your enemy (if human) cant tell how you are gonna do it, you can leave last kick off add some other move to it like+.
+ is good if it hits because you get 3 DPs.
+ is good and one few shun attacks from distance, it also need 8 DPs.
is good because you can fall down if necessary.

 

Played Shun ever since VF2 came out. Who doesn't love old drunkards, eh...

Will I couldn't play with him at first but , the reason why I like him is that the very first time I seen snake n the monkeys shadow that when it happen shun is who I wanted to play with /versus/images/icons/confused.gif look at that movie (86w/23L 76%winning ratio just started not too bad I guest . the ratio stands too go up by next week his best moves are the evades like++ or use it the other way and I really put pressure on drinking , and also two main throws + or+ /versus/images/icons/smirk.gif timeing is everything mix up the throws dogeing is a very effective against all fighters back and forward side to side++ /versus/images/icons/confused.gif ++ or ++ /versus/images/icons/grin.gif but the only time I use this is when trouble comes or I can't get a lick in the key is too stay alert and always relackes that's the sercet HAHA HA (quote fist of fiery) /versus/images/icons/wink.gif good luck. (also 2nd dan ) and out side the lead hand is their blind spot lots of throws and counters after doging the lead hand

 

I use Shun mostly because i like using the natural properties of some of his moves to do counters. E.g., + to get under high attacks, or ++... i love the fact that if you have good yomi, you can make your opponent look absolutely foolish.

Plus, the old man in any fighting game is usually the best character (ok, ok, so VF is the exception). Still, Shun is a totally unique character to all fighting games beccause of the drinking dynamic. He forces you to think of a broader 5-round strategy, which may actually be beneficial to your game.
