    Hey I believe it! I hope I wasn't lumped into the ones on the attack against ranks, I'm all for it, just that some people in the world are a little nuts over titles in trivial things in order to pump up their ego. Not trying to include you in this though Po. Although I am new tot he forums, I have found your posts to be very entertaining and interesting, don't stop!

    You inevitably end up in an infinite loop, repeating the same points over and over until you've convinced yourself that the voices in your head have all been adequately dealt with.

    My initial post was in reaction to you, and some others, whining about how "unfair" the ranking system was. I think it's interesting to note how you've gone from speaking for yourself, to speaking for the unknown masses. Perhaps you take comfort in justifying a position when it's not presented as yours, but "theirs".

    Regardless of your, or their, position, your latest tirade is full of so many falsehoods which you imply that I support and advocate. Now, unfortuantely, I had to waste my time trawling through your repetitive nonsense only because I don't like to be misrepresented. What's particularly frustrating (to me personally) is the number of times you suggest that I'm not accepting or welcoming to all players, or that I dismiss any value to be hand in playing Ranking matches (I fucking love ranking matches).

    To spare others, I'm going to enclose the quote-fest in spoiler tags, and I'll keep score on the number of times you repeat the same false message of my lack of "acceptance" and dismissing the "value of ranking".

    You'd be a more effective communicator if you made your point once, and once only, rather than harp on and on and on and on and... continually finding new ways to describe the same thing over and over and over and...

    For some people, especially the newly registered, masterpo's "style" may be a novelty. But after a couple of years, you'll be wringing the fork out of my hand to gorge your own eyes out.

    masterpo, increasingly in this day and age, time is becoming a valuable resource. Please be considerate of other people's time if you wish to be seriously engaged in conversation. In all honesty, 99.9% of the time I ignore your posts. I made an exception in this case because it was somewhat personal.

    Please heed Tony's advice.

    Ultimately if you're playing a game serious you're probably getting something you want from it. If you're driven by results you can show--like a certificate or a diploma--then a ranking system might be a huge motivator for you. If you just want to have fun you can have that, too. I don't think there is really all that much to be said about it other than find what you want in the game and pursue that. It will make you better.

    The only rank anyone deserves is the one that the system deems you're playing at. If you're playing ranking matches online then you're inherently accepting the faults of online play and any knock on effects it has to your play.

    If you really are X rank then the only way to prove is to consistently perform at that level and retain your rank.

Take it to the ring to settle the score! All of you guys should stream a live match in VF then let the shit talk fly. I'd watch it!

    the RANKS in Japanese arcades for VF5FS are more meaningful or more legitimate than the RANKS of VF5FS online.

    Regardless to whether you're in the arcades or online RANKS are only a reflection
    of who you've played.

    The RANKS for VF5FS in Japanese arcades are no more legitimate than RANKS for VF5FS online . [​IMG]
