    Yup. More or less.

    No VF5 at Bugis.

At least there are people still playing VF4FT in bugis /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif There are enough people to consider it "not completely dead".

Hey there! I know its a bit late but im learnign VF now. I played VF 5 over at my friends place once and thought that maybe ill start learning it so yep. Do you guys still play :p I think i played some of you over at bugis on friday, the 14th of september. There was this lion player, a jackie player and a lei fei/wolf/shun player down there. I was the lion yep... pretty mediocre for now cos im like very unfamiliar with the other characters /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shocked.gif its like my second time on teh machine but ive got experience from other fgs to back it up yep /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Frequent Bugis almost every Friday night, and yeah sometimes there can be decent competition around.

Remy, I think you are the one who asked me how to block one of Lei Fei's attacks? Don't normally see that move pulled out often but I think it is crouch guard for the first attack, and then standing guard for the rest of the hits..

Also, did you notice that some of the game mechanics are different with VF5 and VF4FT?

I use a variety of characters, just for a change of pace, but am most comfortable with either Goh or Sarah.

Ha. Yeah that was me. I look like a kid. Just tall. Currently in JC yep. I used to be in bugis every Friday night because i am a soul calibur/guilty gear/melty blood player too yep.

The Lei Feis attack looked like it but i wont know for sure :p thanks

Yeah quite a no of the game mechanics are different. Does not affect me alot yet as i am not wholly familiar with either systems yet. I think it would be more of a problem if i started to play one alot more.

I was thinking of playing at E2max? with sticks? Me and 2 buds plan on playing there weekly and i think i found a way to bring the ps2 sticks that are with me over to the PS3 to work yep...

Would be glad to accomodate more players. Its kinda like 9 dollars an hour... so if we have 3- 4 people i think the price is quite reasonable.

Used to be good at Soul Calibur 1, played it heaps on the DC. Hoping to get better at Guilty Gear; just bought Accent Core for PS2 yesterday. Perhaps I can get a few pointers from you next time..

I use Zappa and Venom, but haven't gotten familiar with the more technical parts of GGXX, like Roman Cancels, Force Break etc..

I didn't know they have PS3s there... do they have VF5 as well?? Do they rent out arcade sticks?

The E2max sounds like it would be fun, always looked forward to playing against others in VF5. If you guys are looking for more players, count me in.

ha. SC1? Do you know wen? haven't seen that guy in ages :p Guilty gear is not easy. If you have been playing 3d games alot, learning guilty gear can be really demanding. ill tell you all i know about GGXX one day. zappa and venom are really tough chars. I play a.b.a and jam.

Yep they do. They have Vf5 too. However they do not rent out sticks yep. I play there on weeknights (because its cheaper:p). imma going today at evening probably to test out if the arcade stick works. if not ill play on pad... which is harder but okay for me.

You can contact me at like 92377167 if ya need to. if ya wanna join or smth yep. but you all seem to be in the working class so yep :p busy old people

I play a variety of fighters, both 2D and 3D, but yeah, Guilty Gear seems very deep and requires a lot of investment (just like VF). How long have you been playing GGXX for? Just curious.

Out of the 2D fighters I've played, it seems very similar to MvC2, ie a fast paced fighter with more emphasis on winning with combo setups?

Test out if the arcade stick works or not? I assume you are referring to a PS2 fighting stick? I am looking to get one too. Which one is good to play GGXX on?

Weekdays, as you put it, not as good for working 老頭子 like me... by the time work is over, sometimes just want to head home and relax! hehe

Weekends on the other hand, if dont have anything scheduled, can join you guys any hour.

eh about 2-3.5 years. cant remember yep.
VF is like the most demanding 3d game i found so far yep.

GG is not exactly the way you put it. Its not completely on combos but alot to do with low, overhead, throw mixups that lead to more mixups yep. Its alot on spacing well and reading your opponent really well too. You have to know the matchups really well too yep.

I tested it with oen of my converters. didnt work. buttons did though.. stick didnt. the problem is, the converter i used maps the stuff onto analog, and vf5 dont work on analog you see. so im looking for my older converter that maps onto dpad yep.

get a Hori RAP. its the best /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/shocked.gif

Will probably play on the weekend. keep you updated

I agree, the Hori RAP is the best stick. I'm also selling mine--pristine condition, barely used--for $50. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Like why? I mean its pretty good. Unless you were saving up for a PS3, a VF stick, 360 or 360 stick

So basically you guys are the ones who've been snapping up the VSHGs and it's going to be pretty tough to get my hands on one now. Lol. I might buy an RAP for 50. But I really want a VSHG. Remus doesn't believe me when I say the VSHG is superior. Lol.

Anywho I'm not going to be in Singapore for a while so it probably doesn't matter until I get back. D:

I bought my VSHG from Funzcentre. Last week I was there, it seems like they still have them in stock.

The Sega stick and button really feels like the arcade(Japan though). The Hori stick is fun but the buttons are bad.
