So this comes out today for PS3 and tomorrow for Xbox. Anyone getting it? I've been waiting for this game for a while, since I played it last year. Game is a blast.

If anyone does, we'll play some matches online.

Edot: If anyone wants to know about the works of the game they can go to Skullgirls wiki or if you have some free time you can watch the ultrachen show from last night where Mike Z talks about every little detail about the game UltrachenTV

I am going to try a demo first, before a complete judgment. The way that it plays isn't different from what's already out there unfortunately.

Edited: Just as I thought. No thanks.

Is it really a good game or just simply support MikeZ and the FGC?

It's an awesome game. Up there with KOF as far as quality 2D fighters go.

I just want to see the tutorial mode, I hear a lot of hype about it. The whole tutorial is on the demo as well.

    I like Peacock the most.

Only pieces of the tutorial are on the demo, but it does seem like fun. Hopefully the full version includes the movelists, I couldn't find them with the two playable characters. Anyways, I'm not much for 2D fighters but I may mess around with this game.

They weren't able to include them due to time and budget constraints. It happens.

You can get a printable version of the movelists here

Its guaranteed to get one patch, but after that it depends on how well it does.

I got it, and its fun enough. I'm not used to a six [atk button] fighter so its taking adjustments. I finished the tutorial mode last night and now I'm playing around with Cerebella.

    Is it like another MVC?

Not like MVC at all. It feels like a mix of Guilty Gear, Blazblu, and Melty Blood to me.

Dennis, in case you're still trying to figure it out, Skullgirls is basically another combo heavy, optionally team based, 2D fighter. If you're not a fan of the games westtrade listed (Guilty Gear, Blazblu, and Melty Blood) or the genre at all, then chances are you probably won't be into it.

Personally, I've "known" MikeZ from the agsf2 days and think it's great that he's involved in a project like this. While I'm not a fan of the genre, I hope the game does well.

I think it feels like the old marvel games, just without all the broken stuff from said games. There are hints of Arc System Works games too. You can always download the demo if you're on the fence about it.

Man, Cerebella is way to good for a grappler. It feels so good not feeling gimped playing one. Gonna be rockin' her and Peacock for sure.

I played the demo and while I like the style and musical score I just couldn't get into it. SOmething just felt off. THe hits feel too light, like there isn't enough weight to them and I"m not making contact with something.

The Game controls nicely.... but in the End you see where its going. Nothing special just sticks to whats working and nothings wrong with that. I like Cerebella though.
