Alex's Tournament seems more focused on DOA above all else... These are the prices:

    Street Fighter 3 : 3rd Strike --- FREE ENTRY
Capcom vs. Snk 2 --- FREE ENTRY
Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo --- FREE ENTRY
Guilty Gear Accent Core --- FREE ENTRY
    Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 --- $2 Entry
    Melty Blood ( Latest Version ) --- $5 Entry
    Arcana Hearts ( If Available ) --- $2 Entry
    Dead or Alive 4 --- $20 Entry
Dead or Alive Ultimate --- $5 Entry
    Dead or Alive 3 (3.1 if available) --- $5
    Virtua Fighter 5 -- $2 Entry
    Tekken 5 : Dark Resurrection : $2 Entry

$15 venue fee and then only $2 for the VF5 tournament? His tournament is scheduled during Crooked Jester's Halloween Havoc in NJ anyways.

That is why I hate on your events Alex... your events seem to always coincide with mine, even though I announce mine way before yours. Not to mention you act like your events are more important and you have more credit in running tournaments, even though I've been running tournaments longer than you have. My last "little get together" pulled in 60-70 people, for 3D fighting games... thats a LARGE turnout for 3D fighting games. You couldn't get any people to show up to your 3D Fighting game tournaments, and thats why you copped out and went it easy for 2D fighting games. Breaking 100 people in a tournament for a 2D fighting game is a cakewalk, and you just barely do that.

Besides, you dont see me going into your tournament threads and insulting your tournaments do you? My October tournament has some 2D fighters, but because none of them were "main events" you felt the need to insult my tournament in my own tournament thread on Shoryuken. Hell, your October tournament has some 3D fighters, but none of them are "main events" (except DOA); do you see me going into your thread on VFDC and insulting your tournament? Of course not; at least not until you started insulting my tournaments. I'm sorry, but $15 house fee, and then $2 entry is just an insult.

    - Second announcement comes from my store.in talking with an energy drink company called hiro we will be featuring FREE DRINKS PROVIDED BY THEM.I tasted some of it and its good so take some while they are there.

-Third announcement is a little weird.I have this program called tia that makes the brackets ( created by smash players so you know its awesome ). What I would like to do is have all the tournaments run through this program.meaning no paper brackets, but rather, electronic ones.with that said I will be having LIVE UPDATES of the brackets. We will be trying our best to provide full on live but most likely we will be backed up but if you cannot make it just go to http://tia.nealpro.com/default.aspx to register and check this out here too

http://tia.nealpro.com/ttournament.aspx?id=280 -- thats the site for the brackets that will be put up on. Its a great site and they did a lot of hard work so please show support as it is a great system and will help us in the future.

    - Final announcement is that we will be possibly putting a projector in for finals matches.this is not certain as we have to make room for it but we will try our best to provide a space for everyone to watch the finals of this, the best, of all the slammin sat nights.

Finally I just ask as always to respect the store and the people that work there. I have never received any complaints from any staff during any event or causal gathering but to make sure everyone should know that this place does a lot and has helped as much as it could.please show support and please be respectful by cleaning up after yourself and all. Beyond that come in, have fun and BE ON TIME.

Thanks to all of you for helping me out and helping make this thing huge
