Would a regular /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif be slower than an attack that has the Slide Shuffle incorporated in it? /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif for example. I sometimes get countered while shuffling and I'm not sure if I'm using it inappropriately or if I'm using it at the wrong time, sort of like Blaze's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif compared to moves that incorporate it into the pattern.

Also, I know there's already a /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif!/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif thread but I might as well just post my question here. Are there any tips on pulling it off? I just can't time it right consistently and was thinking maybe there's a trick to it than just pure timing.

You're asking if moves out of slide shuffle come out faster, if SS is done at the end of a string, instead of on it's own? I think that's the case, but keep in mind that a lot of the attacks out of shuffle are pretty slow and linear. So you have to pick your spots with it.

As far as the K!G goes, it's a right bastard to pull off consistently online. Offline, just takes practice. No real tricks that I can think of.

Its a toss up depending on connection. After a while if you get use to the lag then you can try to go for it. There's no shortcutting that move you just have to develop a timing for it.
As far i go i won't use it a majority of the time because all attacks out of the SS are like Kowtow said linear and can be sidestepped for punishment.

I use SS quite a bit. If you mix it up and use it at the right times its a great move. It not only can pull you out of a tight spots where you are getting overwhelmed but it can follow up with a nice set of attacks. I recommend watching some of Glory85, Denkai, and Jerky vids. They use it in some unique situations and I learned quite a bit from this.

I had some problems with Flash Kick in the past. Like the last two mentioned, its timing. However I don't agree with their statements of online being a tough place to use it. Its an amazing offensive set up and online or off I don't miss it. To get to that point I rocked dojo nonstop until I knew the timing. Then off line in quest mode I would use it constantly. Once I felt good about using it I started incorporating it into my combos online and to be safe I would practice it at the end of every win, trying to get in as many as I can. I still do this in fact. This is a awesome move so master it! Again watch some of the vids of the players I mentioned and watch how they use it so you can develop your own style.

Really? IS this Geared towards me? I should watch them huh lol! Okay moving right along like i said i will not try the K!G if the connection is shitty.
If the connection is decent and i have a understanding then i'll go for it.

The timing of ss is all that really matters. You use it for okizeme against rising opponents to bait a whiff or to confuse a defensive opponent who won't interrupt you during your ss. It's not useful against someone who is strong with eteg as you'll be evaded a lot (especially since most Jackys do ss iai).

I wouldn't recommend trying to out think your opponent with ss as it'll just lock you into a certain mindset and then you'll forget that Jacky can punish evades much more efficiently with his other attacks.

    - SS p and ss p+k are useful against aggressive opponents at times.
    - ss p+k is great near the wall.
    - kp ss is uncommon as well as 6p+k ss. Try to throw your opponent off by using a different move to enter ss.
