So about that Super Street Fighter IV, eh?

My advice on that one is that the timing for ultra off of rocks is probably slower than you would think. You have to wait for the rocks to physically hit before you buffer it, IIRC.

Not sure if seeing them in action will help you but Vesper Arcade has put together the trials for most the new chars. Can check it out here.

So far only trials of the new chars that has given me trouble was Adon's 22 and 24. Haven't done Ibuki or Mak's yet, Ibu's SJC one may give me trouble too.

If anybody here is in NorCal, there is going to be an admission free tourney at the El Cerrito Plaza Gamestop. Firt place is a $45 gift card. It's located right acros the street from the El Cerrito Bart station. Might as well.

 

My biggest issue with Cody's trial are the combos thare require the EX move that requires me to hold all the punches down and release it. I can't charge the move ahead of time long enough to get the move off as part of the combo. If I charge it ahead of time before the combo begins it cancels the punches that would come before this move as well.

 

Yeah man, El Fuerte 23 has me pickled, 24 is three reps of his infinite. I just gave up on 23 last night. Gonna try to tackle it again later.

One thing that is really hard for me with El Fuerte is that you don't have much time to 2-in-1 into his super off cr.LK and cr.MK. I can only 2-in-1 into his super off cr.LK from the right side, I hate having combos that I'm one-sided at, makes it totally impractical for a real match...

I was playing with another VFDC guy last night, GT: thelgndwillnvrdie - he showed me how nasty Juri, Ibuki and Makoto are. His Makoto ate me alive, his Juri is already nasty and Ibuki is a really tough character to fight too.

So far I've only really used Abel and Gouken for any real fights, everyone else has just been practice mode and trial mode.

 

I hate Fuerte's s.LK, c.MK link with a passion. It's not the hardest thing to do, but it irritates me somewhat.

 

Me too, it's more annoying when you try to link super afterwards and get Guac leg throw.. damn shortcuts.

managed to play some over the last 2 days, Hakan is fun but very hard to play but Adon is awesometastic

I don't actually own the original SFIV, but I wanna get the costumes. If i download the alt costumes, would I be able to use them in this game?

 

You can have all the costumes if you wanted.
