So can we play the japanese version or not

so whats the real deal can we play the japanese version of virtua fighter 5 or not does anyone really know. cause if you can i will get the japanese version if you dont have the answer now thats cool but id really appreciate it when someone does have a definitive answer for me right on and thanks for any future answers

 

The word is that VF5 is region independant for the PS3. So yes.

And if that's not true a pretty amount of people in here will get pretty pissed. (With already paid for imports and all.)

I just read the whole FAQ over again and I didn't see any place where it specifically says that the Japanese version will be playable on US PS3's. The only thing I saw was the language-change trick. Thanks for clarifying it, anyway /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

There are people who have imported it and it DOES work on US PS3 systems. Also the menus are in english as well...I was mentioned that the in-game language will be based on the language settings of your PS3.

Donno...this is un confirmed as of right now. As we know is that you can get english menus and text if your PSN account is North American.

Correct...its the same as the JPN version...
