SoCal VF Party July 21st, 2006!

A few days ago I found out that <font color="blue">Pushku, </font>and <font color="blue">snapz (ironzen)</font> were coming to town from July 15th to the 22nd. I mentioned that a VF4:Evo party was probably in order. Pushku's fantastic response basically translated to "Hell yes! That's a great fucking idea!"

So I then talked to a few people in San Franciso, like, oh, I don't know, <font color="blue">Srider, ice-9,</font> and <font color="blue">KTallguy.</font> You know what? <font color="red">They might just show up, too!</font>

Will you hit traffic? Hell, it's Friday night - you bet there will be traffic. Don't let that sway you! This trip is worth every minute of it.

What we provide: Three TVs, US PS2 with Evo, Japanese PS2 with Evo, two evo sticks, two ASCII sticks, air conditioning, fridge full of soda, couple or three bags of chips, places to sit, room for five or six (maybe seven?) VF setups.

What you all need to bring: Biggest TVs you can come up with and fit in your car (remember, it's better to have too many), POWER STRIPS, your PS2s, your sticks, and your evo discs.

What about food? Everyone usually chips in for food. Lots of fast food in the area. Good sit-down restaurants, too.

Who's gonna be there? I'll pick you up at Ontario airport. You're welcome to sleep on the World's Most Comfortable Couch (term coined by Myke or El_Brisal73, I believe - they were being serious - it IS nice to sleep on).

I can house you (and other players) from Thursday after 6pm until around 9am Monday. Two couches are available. To reserve one of them, please confirm your attendance with a flight plan. Also, if enough people confirm they're flying in, I'll provide futons too. It's easier if you can bring sleeping bags, though.

Thanks. I havent been to a SoCal VF gathering for awhile now. I hope to be able to play with all the new SoCal people. I heard there's a big crowd now.

Which is the closest airport to you?

 

I'm guessing you're asking me that question (sorry if I'm mistaken). Ontario airport (ONT) is closest to my house. Ten minutes away as opposed to 60 to 90 minutes for LAX.

I or someone would probably pick you up regardless of which airport you land at.

So cool that you're considering this trip.

 

Just want to let you guys know that I've booked my flight, I'll be arriving on Thursday the 20th arount 2:45 pm. This way I can get in some FT actions with you guys the very same night. So if anyone were basing their decision to come based on my arrival (probably none) you can rest assured that I will be there. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif Time to study more frames like yosuke!!!

Plague, there's a chance I might be able to make this, time and money permitting. I'd probably be coming by either carpool (not really likely) or train (very likely). What is the nearest Amtrak station to your place?

The offer above was made a week ago. Shang I need an answer from you soon so I can plan my work schedule--I'll give you another week to mull it over and respond. If I don't hear back from you by July 10, I will assume you have declined the challenge, in which case I would appreciate it if you would stop the personal attacks on these forums from here on out.
