It's time to play at Plague's house!

Pull out your mad VF4:Evolution skills and come to battle with the best SoCal has to offer. Players from outside of SoCal are welcome to attend. I think it's definitely worth the effort.

Will you hit traffic? Hell, it's Friday night - you bet there will be traffic. Don't let that sway you! This trip is worth every minute of it.

What we provide: Three TVs, US PS2 with Evo, Japanese PS2 with Evo, two evo sticks, two ASCII sticks, air conditioning, fridge full of soda, couple or three bags of chips, places to sit, room for five or six (maybe seven?) VF setups.

What you all need to bring: Biggest TVs you can come up with and fit in your car (remember, it's better to have too many), POWER STRIPS, your PS2s, your sticks, and your evo discs.

What about food? Everyone usually chips in for food. Lots of fast food in the area. Good sit-down restaurants, too.

Who's gonna be there? SoCal parties are a great way to learn VF and meet players in a comfortable, laid-back environment.

For all of you that haven't been to one - here's some video of one of the greatest house parties that happened in SoCal a few years back. It wasn't at my house (there is no video of stuff at my house) and it was really extra-special because of the attendees. It gives a great example of the feel and ambiance of the usual SoCal VF experience. This Friday, we'll just substitute Rocket Pai for Ohsu, Neotower, and Yamagishi and it will be in my house instead of Sean's ex-dorm.

I hope you can make the party tonight. Bowling at 5 is no problem. The VF party will start at 7:30pm and probably go all night (really, till the sun comes up).

I'm about 10 miles from Cal Baptist University (just a guess). From Magnolia, take Adams North, go left on Arlington, right on Van Buren, take the Limonite "exit", right on Limonite, left on Pedley, right on Mission, right on Agate, left on Wild Pony, you're there.

I think I'm awake so it's time for a recap...

Big thank you to <font color="blue">Rocket Pai</font> for giving SoCal yet another reason to throw a VF party. Last night saw plenty of VF action from him as well as <font color="blue">GoatCheeseBlues, PhoenixDth, EL_Brisal73, EXM, CaliJared,</font> David Lau (from AI), and Catherine.

Rocket Pai is certainly more than a Pai player - we got to witness super strong Brad action! ...not to mention Jacky and Lei Fei, too. Last night (well, this morning, actually) was a model for "never too tired to play VF" - Rocket Pai and I finished the party at around 6:45 AM with some serious and hilarious Pai vs. Akira battles.

Also - I recognize <font color="blue">GoatCheeseBlues</font> as the Ambassador of Southern California Virtua Fighters. This man does more to bring people into the scene and teach them to play strong VF than any person I know. He talks to every new player he sees on the FT machines at AI and explains the wonders of VF in a way they all enjoy and appreciate. I heard him teaching EXM and CaliJared a few things about Sarah last night and my first thought was "right fucking on - he does that so well."

In general - I think it's so awesome that people come all the way out to my house for these events. Hosting VF Parties is one of my favorite things to do and the cool-factor of VFers makes it all the more worth while.

Hey it was a ton of fun playing guys, sorry I couldn't stay all night. You guys are really good yet you help out willingly, thanks. And really big thanks to Brian for showing me alot of stuff with sarah and other characters, I'll be better next time. I definately like this game, thanks bros.
