LA AKIRA!! was wondering if you still host thursday night games..

i'm a noob btw.. gonna be hard core practicing starting today... and when x360 comes out...

also if i wanted to host a night(day) w/e... how would i go about this? is there a set room size i should expect? how do i prevent crazy internet people that would show up to rob & rape me..

You can all help us a ton by puting your city/location in your profile. Helps everyone understand where you are, who you are close to, whatever.

A good way to prevent people you don't want to come to your gathering (if you host one) is to PM the address to those you wish ti invite. Though personally, imo nobody in SoCal VF is chicken shit like that so you don't have much to worry, but we also understand.

I'm pretty sure Gerald still does thursdays for people in the LA Area, we have a lot of gatherings that we sometimes forget to or just don't have time to post about.

Like right now I came back from a BIG San Deigo gathering to celebrate 360 release and the last time we will be using PS3.

As for hosting, the actual trouble is getting people to show up. I guess i've been pretty lucky with the robbery and rapage part but then again, i've only been really posting for gatherings here and one time on srk.

 

Sorry for not being around lately. Personal stuff has kept me away. I should be back next week (1 Nov).

 

To Gerald, Talis, Dan, Sebo, Tim and Paul -- thank you so much for coming down, I had a blast. Lots of great games and I feel like I learned a ton as usual.

My roomie and my gf both talked about how cool, nice, and polite you all were and that is my favorite part of this community -- the people I most want to play VF with also happen to be good people and good friends. Thanks again guys, I'll come up your way next time.
